Membership Clerk Update: Hello Gwa’sala-‘Nakwaxda’xw Nation! I am very happy to say I am now doing status cards! I have been making appointments, my days and hours of working in the Membership office is every Tuesdays and Thursdays From 8:00am-4:00pm. Call on those days for Membership work only. I am now all booked up for this month of December for status cards, I will now be making appointments for January 2017! I work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as the Receptionist. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask, I am happy to answer any questions. Again if you are inquiring about the Newest Status cards that last for 10 years, you can get the forms online at www.aadnc-aandc.gc.ca or if you need help you can come here to the office and I can help you. A Family Consultant is needed in the community of Port Hardy to work in partnership with local government and other community stakeholders to develop, implement and enhance local poverty reduction approaches, strategies and plans. The position will also work in partnership with families living on a low income to develop individualized plans that that will assist them in navigating systems and connecting them with programs, supports and services. With your extensive experience in the social services field, you will work collaboratively with the community to address the impacts of poverty by developing strategies that will not only mitigating the effects of poverty but also reducing poverty. We are seeking someone who is motivated and excited about change and innovation, have the ability to successfully bring people together for a common goal and are open to new and innovative ways to provide assistance to families.
