Regional forwarder for the Western Balkans Automobile production is based on precisely timed supply chains – across national borders. To ensure that the vehicles roll off the production line on time, the individual parts must be delivered to the manufacturing process at exactly the right time. As regional forwarder for Volkswagen AG, Gebrüder Weiss transports car parts from suppliers in South East Europe to the locations of a number of the customer‘s marques in Central Europe.
THE CHALLENGE As an experienced logistics partner, Gebrüder Weiss transports around 10,300 consignments annually from the suppliers to production plants in Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic – including empty returns and ex-works shipments to the suppliers.
