THE CHALLENGE Vehicle parts from over 400 suppliers throughout Germany need to be taken to the central production location in Graz and four additional factories in Styria. The challenge: ● Accurately coordinating a highly complex network of suppliers ● Ensuring that shipments arrive at the factories “just in time” ● Ensuring that the original delivery note is presented at all times by the freight forwarder

THE SOLUTION Gebrüder Weiss has built up a stable supply chain together with Magna. The logistics managers consolidate the shipments at their own branch in Graz and take them to the customers at precisely defined times and intervals. The services at a glance: ● Delivery by shuttle express to the customer’s nearby cross dock and directly to the factories as part and full load (LTL/FTL) ● Empty containers are returned in the opposite direction – also at fixed intervals ● Control Tower records all relevant information – from document control, shipment information and interval monitoring to escalation management ● Flexible special journeys in case of varying production quantities
