Situated in the center of Stockholm, Kungsträdgården park is what defines the public space.
Who owns the city?.
The analyse of this question shape an outline to take the public space and make it usable, rentable, equal and comfortable. The first part of this project try to give some answers to the geographical, political, social and historical situation of the park. Whit this information is possible to generate a series of measures and
urban solutions (planing and design) which pretend to improve tha place and make it more flexible for the users and the park being and urban and architectonic object.
1.KUNGSTRÄDGÅRDEN Expansion, density, new housing possibilities, integration, stop the segregation, use of the ground and a n open (but not as fairly as possible) debate between the right of the public and the investment of the private capital are top issues for the people from Stockholm, their politicians and all the architects, planners and designers who day by day, shape the city of Stockholm. Following the east side of Stockholm is possible to see Danvikstull which is where the main island of Södermalm connect with the east of Stockholm. How

My name is Guillermo Valerdi. I am 26 years old.
BIO
I live with my family in Stockholm, Sweden although I am from Mexico City. I am father of two small children. In august 2008 I was part of an exchange program between National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and University of Skövde. After I have finished my curses I decided to stay in Sweden with my future partner. I have studied a 5 years college program at UNAM in their architecture program. Recently I have studied 1 year at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH Arkitekturskolan, Sweden), in their bachelor program, with focus in urbanism. I have university studies on arts, design, history, film, and technology. My professional experience working as an architect consist of 3 years on the Mexican architecture field working for offices and taking part of several projects. Housing, habitat, hospital, office buildings, theaters, and infrastructure are some of the projects that I have been part of. During this time the urban questions have had a big importance for me in the development of my projects, either on the professional field or inside university rooms. My personal goals for the future are to get experience in the Swedish labor market working with architecture and urban questions and realize further university studies.
