GEORGIA TECH FOOTBALL 2011

RECORD-BREAKING OFFENSE Georgia Tech’s average of 323.3 yards rushing per game in 2010 not only led the nation, it broke an ACC single-season record. ESPN THURSDAY NIGHT REGULARS The Yellow Jackets will play in an ESPN nationally-televised Thursday night game for the 19th consecutive season when Tech hosts Virginia Tech in November. THE DAYS FAMILY Redshirt freshman quarterback Synjyn Days is joined on the Yellow Jacket team this fall by his brother, true freshman linebacker Jabari Hunt-Days. But perhaps the most interesting story concerning the Days family is that Synjyn’s mother, Paula, was an assistant coach on his middle school team. Paula coached the offensive and defensive lines.

Georgia Tech Football By The Numbers

Senior cornerback Michael Peterson and junior wide receiver Daniel McKayhan are both exceptional artists. The Yellow Jacket duo found an unusual spot to hone their painting skills – a multi-level homeless shelter in downtown Atlanta. Peterson earned his degree in the spring and will compete for a starting job at Georgia Tech in the fall. His oil paintings have been featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and on NCAA.com.
