ust like Mike and Debra Cummings, you and your family can become a proud part of our team welcoming your fellow fans to the new Football Operations Center on Lanier Drive. With only 40 bollards available, this unique opportunity is open to a select few who will be giving their names to bollards placed on Erk Russell Plaza. Each bollard will display individual donor name(s) and will greet fans walking across the plaza to enter the Football Operations Center. You may be asking, ‘what is a bollard?’ A bollard is a short vertical post or fixture that is usually constructed of concrete or metal. They are generally used to direct the flow of pedestrian or vehicle traffic. Our bollards will be constructed of concrete and will be approximately 19 inches in height and 22 inches in diameter. On the top surface of each bollard there will be a 12 inch circular brass plaque that will bear the donor name(s). As a donor, you will have three lines, of 20 characters/ spaces each, to inscribe on your plaque.* You can be a part of this exclusive group of donors by making a tax deductable gift of $5,000 to the Soaring to Victory Campaign to confirm your contribution to this historical structure. Once your donation is made, you can tell us what names or message you would like to have placed on your plaque on the top of the bollard. Donations to name a bollard are part of the Soaring to Victory Campaign and will be applied to the construction of the Football Operations Center as part of our goal to position GSU football as our marquee program and recruit the country’s best student-athletes. Our line of bollard supporters is short but strong, so make your gift today to become part of Eagle Football history. Please see the attached form to complete your pledge or gift. Pledges must be paid in two years from the date of the pledge. *All inscriptions are subject to approval by the GSU Athletic Foundation.
