TOP COOKIE SELLER SECRETS Meet our top cookie seller, Julianna M. She is 14 years old and a member of Troop 843. Julianna has been a Girl Scout for 9 years. Her sales strategy was to be friendly, smile and ask each person that she knew. She enjoys talking to customers and helping the younger Girl Scouts learn how to sell. She has been working to be the top seller for a few years and worked every weekend this year to attain her goal. This year’s goal was to sell 3,500 boxes and she actually sold 5,042. After high school Julianna plans to attend college and is looking forward to a career as a chef. She plans to own and run her own restaurant. Her advice for other Girl Scouts who haven’t reached their goal yet is this: “Don’t be discouraged. Everyone learns and grows at their own rate and pace. Be patient with yourself. Don’t feel bad and eventually, you will get there.”

TROOPS SPREAD THE COOKIE LOVE ALL OVER The Girls from Troop 353 were so proud to donate 8 cases of cookies to McLeod Primary Care in Manning. The doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses and a hospital representative were there for the presentation. Of course, everyone there was happy with the cookies! Cadettes from Troop 406 are working on their Program Aide training. They hosted an event to allow troop members to see each other for the first time in months while doing community service. The girls arranged a drop in event at a local park to collect donations of candy and make thank you cards for the Summerville Police Department. The Girls thanked them with numerous different candies that matched the poem and of course Girl Scout Cookies.

ZOOMING ALONG At the last Zoom meeting, Troop 4100's girls voted on where to donate the troop's leftover cookies as they wrapped up the year. On Friday, cases were delivered to Beaufort County Sheriff's Office - North of the Broad, Port Royal Police Department, and Beaufort Memorial Hospital. On Monday, the last delivery will be made to Beaufort County Sheriff's Office - South of the Broad. Beaufort Police Department and Beaufort City/ Port Royal Fire Departments were taken care of by other troops as well. This was their way of saying thank you for keeping us all safe and healthy throughout the pandemic. They say all of the officers, deputies, and medical professionals wereincredibly appreciative

Our Virtual Program Series filled in over the Spring and Summer in place of in-person programs and meetings. A Junior (pictured left) created some great marbled thank you cards when her Troop worked on their Social Butterfly badge.
