Immersive Programs: Music and Theatre Immersive Programs are a cornerstone of each girl’s education at Grier. Regardless of the area of focus, students share a sense of commitment, understand the value of their hard work, appreciate the talents of their peers, and stretch themselves to ever higher levels of achievement—all while doing something they love. No previous experience is required to dive in on day one. Whether a student characterizes her skills as “This is my life” or “I’ve always wanted to try that,” she will find just the right launching place for her personal adventure.
Every Girl Has a Role The Grier stage welcomes all performers—from veteran curtain callers to first-time stage-fright fighters. Grier’s Performing Arts faculty know that a good performance is grounded in strong preparation. As such, instruction in theory and technique — plus ample opportunities to practice (individually and collaboratively) — are the cornerstones of the curriculum. A wide variety of performances throughout the year stretch girls to apply their craft in front of appreciative audiences—everyone celebrating the performing arts together.
