Private coach to the airport departs from Talavera (School main gate). Punctuality expected from everyone.

Train to Victoria Station. We’ll take the Tube to Earl’s Court Station, and from there we’ll walk to the hotel, which is very close.

Arrival at Garden View Hotel, check-in and unpacking time.
16.30:
Reconnaissance stroll around the Hotel, supermarkets and restaurants in the area.
19.00:
Packed dinner at hotel or park, to be decided.

22 June - Friday 08.00:
Wake up and breakfast.

We take the tube (Earl’s Court) to Leicester Square (Picadilly Line), in the heart of the West End. From there, we’ll walk to Trafalgar Square and see the world-famous Nelson’s Column.
10.00:
We visit the National Gallery, the main art museum in Britain and one of the most important galleries in the world.
11.30:
After the National Gallery, we’ll take a walk down Whitehall, the most important political street in Britain, home of the British Government. Right after the start of this road on the right, we’ll pass the Admiralty Arch, and further on, also on the right, we’ll glimpse the official residence of the Prime Minister at 10, Downing Street. We might have the chance to see the peculiar horse Guards or foot guards of the building, and perhaps get a picture with one of them.

12.00:
Whitehall becomes Parliament Street, which leads us to Parliament Square. From this place we’ll get a magnificent view of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, and we will soon see Westminster Abbey on the far right.
13.00:
We’ll cross Westminster Bridge, and on the other side of the Thames we’ll get the chance to take the best picture of the Houses of Parliament across the river Thames. Here we’ll also see and have a ride if you want in the expensive London Eye. This is optional and everyone will have to pay for their own tickets. Here we can have our packed lunch.
15.00:
We’ll visit the Tower Bridge. The visit will take 90 min. The Tower Bridge was completed in 1894, after 8 years of construction. Originally, London Bridge was the only crossing over the Thames. We will be able to visit the Victorian Engine Rooms, home to the original steam engines that used to power the Bridge lifts. The bridge lift times are: 15.30 up and 16.30 down.
19.00:
Back to the Garden View Hotel, refresh and ready for dinner.
20.30:
Dinner at Masala Zone (Indian food, www.masalazone.com).

23 June Saturday 8.00:
Wake up and breakfast at the hotel. Up and at it.

We’ll visit the British Museum. You don’t have to go to Greece or Egypt for authentic Greek or Egyptian art, but visit The British Museum instead.

We’ll take the tube to Notting Hill Gate.

13.00-15.30: We’ll visit Portobello Market and have our packed lunch there. Everyone will have some free time to have a look around. 16.00 h.
We’ll take the tube and have some relaxing time at Primrose Hill.
19.00 h.
Dinner at a Fish and Chips restaurant in the area.

Back to the Garden View Hotel.

24 June Sunday 8.00:
We will wake up and have breakfast early in the morning so that we can get to the Natural History Museum by 10.00. We’ll visit the museum for about one hour and fifteen minutes.
11.30-12.30: We will visit St Paul’s Cathedral. From there we’ll cross the Millennium Bridge to be at The Tate Modern by 13.00 h. 14.00:
Packed lunch outside the Tate Modern.
15.45:
We visit the beautiful Covent Garden and will take a quick look at the Royal Opera House, one of the most important opera hubs in the world. After this, we’ll walk to Leicester Square, the centre of the famous West End theatre area. Around 18.00 h we’ll take some pictures of Piccadilly Circus and do some shopping there. Don’t forget to take a look at Fortnum & Mason, one of the most elegant stores in the world.
20.00:
Back to the Garden View Hotel. After relaxing a little bit from the tiring day, we’ll be ready to try the original taste of Japanese food at the Wagamama Restaurant (http://www.wagamama.com/locations/showlocation/577).

25 June – Monday. Cambridge 8.00:
Wake up and breakfast.
9.30:
We’ll take the train to Cambridge and spend the day there visiting the city and King’s College.
10:45:
We have to be at King's College by 1045 for our visit. We can do a bit of shopping on the King's parade and look at the market.
12:00
We can go up the university church tower and visiting the church. This is £1.50 per student and £2.50 per adult. We can have a look at the colleges on the way to punting at 14.15.

Punting in the Cam. The city of Cambridge is a university town and the administrative centre of the county of Cambridgeshire, England. It lies in East Anglia, crossed by the River Cam, about 50 miles (80 km) north of London. Cambridge is most widely known as the home of the University of Cambridge, founded in 1209 and consistently ranked one of the top five universities in the world. The university includes the renowned Cavendish Laboratory, King's College Chapel, and the Cambridge University Library. The Cambridge skyline is dominated by the last two buildings, along with the chimney of Addenbrooke's Hospital in the far south of the city and St John's College Chapel tower.
