In the 81st City Game, Pitt outscored Duquesne 14-2 over the first half’s final 8:12 to build a 12-point halftime lead (29-17)...Tray Woodall hit two 3-pointers and scored eight of Pitt’s 14 points in the run and concluded the first half with 14 points en route to a game-high 24...Both teams shot below 30 percent in the first half...Pitt shot 56 percent (14-25) in the second half and led by as many as 24 points (63-39) with 4:10 to go...Pitt set season-highs for 3-pointers (9) and offensive rebounds (21)...Tray Woodall tied a career-high with five 3pointers...Steven Adams’ nine offensive rebounds ranked second on Pitt’s all-time freshman game list...Adams grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds...Pitt defeated Duquesne in the 12th consecutive City Game matchup and for the 31st time in the last 34 meetings between the two schools...Pitt improved to 50-31 in the series and 3-0 vs. Duquesne at Consol Energy Center...Jamie Dixon improved to 10-0 all-time vs. DU.

In the second half, Pitt outscored North Florida 48-17, outrebounded the visiting Ospreys 23-7 and shot 62.1 percent (18-29) to register a 42-point win...North Florida battled back from an 11-point deficit (21-10) to tie the contest at 27-27 with 5:43 left in the first half...Pitt outscored UNF 14-3 over the first half’s final 5:43 to take a 41-30 halftime lead...Cameron Wright sparked Pitt with four points in the rally...North Florida hit six 3-pointers in the first half...North Florida recorded an opponent school record for fewest free throws in a game (zero) and also set a record for fewest free throws made vs. Pitt (zero)...Pitt turned the ball over only five times, which ranked as the fifth lowest turnover game total in school history...Five Panthers reached double figure scoring...Pitt outscored North Florida in the paint (42-18) and in bench scoring (34-11)...Pitt improved to 9-1 or better after 10 games for the third straight year and for the 11th time in the last 12 seasons.
