THE STORYLINE Mike Lecak (pronounced LEE-sak) begins his second season at Pitt as a walk-on. Due to NCAA transfer rules, Lecak sat out the 2012-13 season after transferring to Pitt. He played his freshman season at NCAA Division II Wheeling Jesuit University.

2011-12 AT WJU Attended and played his freshman season at Wheeling Jesuit University for head coach Dan Suncomb…Helped guide Wheeling Jesuit to a 2012 NCAA Division II Tournament berth with a 2210 overall and 13-6 WVIAC record… Played in 10 games off the bench in 2011-12…Scored 21 points (2.1 ppg.), shot 66.7 percent (8-12) from the floor and 50 percent (4-8) from 3-point range…Scored a season-high eight points, hit 2-3 3-pointers in only four minutes of action vs. Chowan, 11/ 12…Saw first collegiate action, played three minutes and hit his first career 3pointer vs. Bloomsburg, 11/11.
