CAMERON WRIGHT 6-4  205  Junior*  Guard Cleveland, Ohio  Benedictine H.S.

THE STORYLINE Cameron Wright enters his fourth and redshirt junior season at Pitt after contributing primarily at the off-guard position last year. A quick and athletic defender with size, Wright is described as a “complete” package who fits

perfectly into Pitt’s style of play. He is physical and competitive, can defend and rebound in traffic, run the floor, has a solid mid-range game and his shot is improving. An athletic wing with height who slashes to the basket for layups on north/south drives, Wright is explosive and aggressive in the open court and attacks the rim with his slashing ability.

He also has a presence on the offensive glass, is agile, has proven to be a tough defender and has good athleticism. Wright plays with energy and urgency on both ends of the floor and will be a capable multiple position defender in Pitt’s defensive system. An excellent student, Wright has been said to work as hard in the classroom as he does on the floor. He enters the 2013-14 season with the opportunity to earn more playing time and make a significant impact.
