Tour Catalog Built on our slogan of providing the best product to our commercial partners and based on our personal knowledge and experience, we have designed a variety of tours, which include the best destinations, accommodations and attractions in our country. We thought of every detail so that our customers have positive experiences beyond their expectations. We have compiled and committed to only the best suppliers of tourist services in each area, which provides us with the certainty and confidence that our services are of the highest quality and will be especially enjoyable for our customers. Each tour is offered with two hotel categories (A and B) so that customers can choose according to the level of hospitality that is the best fit for them. We are therefore able to present tour selections which highlight the many attractions of Costa Rica in both a practical and entertaining manner. Customers may choose from: Regular transfer itineraries, consist of land transport in modern mini buses exclusively for tourists who travel from hotel to hotel. Schedules have been carefully planned for the best interest of the customer, maximizing their time in the country. Our mini buses have air conditioning, full insurance, friendly and professional drivers, communication systems and above all, the security and confidence your customers deserve. The more adventurous are offered the option to explore Costa Rica more in depth, still connecting with the organized tour, but also with the freedom to move around the country at their pace in their own 4x4 rental car. The all-terrain car rental is based on the use of a Daihatsu Bego 4x4 or similar for 2 to 4 people to travel throughout the country with the highest comfort and safety possible. The car will include basic insurance, however it should be noted that it will be necessary to make a security deposit by credit card of an average of U.S. $ 1000.00 at the time of the rental. Once their trip is completed without incident, the security Alternately, they are also be able to pur-

chase the optional insurance coverage (U.S. $ 15.00 per day), which will reduced the security deposit to only U.S. $ 100.00 and exempting them from the 20% payment required for damage in the event of an accident with a third party. Knowing Costa Rica Costa Rica extends majestically from the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea, and its distance is barely 200 miles. Its land portion occupies only 20 thousand square miles. If you travel throughout the provinces of Costa Rica, it’s easy to notice that in no other place you shall find fields with so many variations in their landscape and climate as here. Costa Rica is one of most highly valued tourist destinations in this planet. This small piece of land includes all of the necessary components to satisfy the taste of thousands of travelers visiting each year. Costa Rica’s territorial division includes 7 provinces, which are: San José, Alajuela, Cartago, Heredia, Guanacaste, Puntarenas, and Limón. Together they offer an attractive tourist destination, of almost limitless possibilities, that include extensive rainforests, volcanoes, rivers traveling through the mountains, beaches and natural resources safeguarded by an important organization of national parks and forest reserves. Heritage and Culture Costa Rican culture is in many ways a reflection of its racial diversity. The predominant influence has long been European, which is reflected in everything from the official language -- Spanish -- to the architecture of the country’s churches and other historic buildings. The indigenous influence is less visible, but can be found in everything from the tortillas that make part of a typical Costa Rican meal, to the handmade ceramics sold at roadside stands. An important aspect of Costa Rica’s cultural legacy is their love for peace and democracy. The Ticos like to stand out that their nation is the exception in Latin America, where military dictatorships have long dominated politics. They take pride in having more than one hundred years of democratic tradition, and almost half a century without an army. The army was abolished in 1948, and the money the country saves by not expending in military issues is invested in improving the Costa Ricans’ standard of living, which has fostered a culture of social peace that makes it such a pleasant place to visit. The Ticos The Ticos, as Costa Ricans are commonly known, are famous for their hospitality, and are quite happy to live up to their reputation. They are well-educated and hard working people, who are quick with a handshake and a smile. They are well aware of the special land they have, and most likely they will help foreigners when they get lost, even explaining things that might seem bizarre to foreigners, and making their stay as enjoyable as possible. People say the Ticos are their nation’s greatest asset, and once you’ve experienced their friendliness and spontaneity, you’ll have no doubt to that regard.

Central Valley The Central Valley is a great choice to enjoy a variety of attractions, natural and cultural, including the best museums in Costa Rica. Northern Caribbean The Northern Caribbean zone comprises the Caribbean coast from Rio San Juan to the city of Lim贸n. Lim贸n city is the tourist hub for the area, where the majority of the tours for the region are organized. The main attractions are the green turtle nesting beaches of Tortuguero National Park and the amazing snook and tarpon sport fishing in the Barra del Colorado National Wildlife Refuge. This is complemented by the unique system of canals which link the port of Moin to Barra del Colorado. The canals are the only means of transportation for the area. It is an internationally recognized protected wildlife area, known especially for nesting turtles and the variety and number of birds located here. Other activities available in the zone include jungle hikes, canopy tours and kayaking the canals.

Northern Plains The Northern Plains resonate with a sense of adventure, much like the Arenal Volcano, the icon of the region. This zone is filled with protected areas â&#x20AC;&#x201C; lakes, lagoons, volcanos, hot springs, rivers and waterfalls. Visitors can go white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking or wildlife and bird watching almost everywhere throughout the area. Due to the rainy climate, wet evergreen forests and fertile plains, this is a haven for an abundance of waterfowl, reptiles, mammals and the prehistoric Gaspar fish, and is an important site of interest to wildlife watchers. The region flows with the adrenaline of the rivers that run through it: the PeĂąas Blancas, San Carlos, Toro, Puerto Viejo and Sarapiqui, some of which were of great importance for navigation. The biodiversity in the canton of Sarapiqui is an internationally recognized scientific research site and is the last stronghold of endangered species such as the macaw. The area is also famous for its characteristic village festivals, which always include championship bull riding and livestock auctions.

Monteverde The unique, natural habitat and conservation efforts of the Monterverde region have received international recognition. The most well known attraction is the Monteverde Biological Reserve, but there are a wide range of natural locations and scenic roadways to explore and observe the natural scenery and flora and fauna. Most activities at Monteverde have been developed around the zoneâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s natural environment, and include bird watching (especially the famous quetzal), peaceful nature walks, exciting canopy tours, hiking the suspension bridges that criss-cross the zone and observing the flora and fauna of the cloud forest, including stunningly beautiful butterflies and rare, colorful frogs.

Northern Guanacaste Northern Guanacaste is an important part of Costa Ricaâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s rich cultural and natural heritage. It is not surprising that there are a significant number of protected areas for the enjoyment of everyone. The region is home to a combination of rich aquatic, terrestrial, coastal and mountain landscapes where life of all kinds flourishes. Located in the northwestern area of the country, this region includes the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, from the border with Nicaragua to Punta Cerritos. Its incomparable beauty, contrasting climates, scenic landscapes that range from pristine beaches to tropical dry and low mountain forests and its fertile nature have made Guanacaste one of the most popular destinations for both locals and international tourists alike. The region offers an important level class infrastructure in the Tourist Development Area of the Gulf of Papagayo as well as easy access through the Daniel Oduber International Airport, which receives numerous charter and regular flights from the United States and Canada. Northern Guanacaste has two primary tourist centers - Liberia and Santa Cruz. Both offer fishing, bird watching, shopping, surfing, horseback riding, world class golf and scuba diving.

Southern Guanacaste This region is comprised of 110 km of beachfront on the Pacific Ocean, representing many options for tourists interested in water or wildlife. It is located in the southeast area of the Nicoya Peninsula. Visitors can view the spectacular arrival of the Lora turtles in the Ostional National Wildlife Refuge, or explore the natural estuaries and mangroves of the southern area separating the beaches of Islita, Bejuco, San Miguel, Coyote and Guiones. The protected, old growth mangroves are ideal sites for observing birds and other wildlife, as well as for light sports such as kayaking and snorkeling. Sport fishing, visits to historical sites, diving and horseback riding are among the many activities available in this region.

Puntarenas and the Islas del Golfo Composed of numerous islands, bays, beaches and beautiful natural treasures, Puntarenas is one of the most important regions of Costa Rica. Here, you can choose from a wide variety of attractions perfect for enjoying the sun and the beach and complemented by protected island and inland areas, as well as activities like bird watching and hiking. The city of Puntarenas serves as a port center, and is both a fun place to explore and an excellent base for tours and excursions. DAY 1. SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA. Pick up and transfer from the International Airport to your selected hotel in San José. Rest of the day on your own to enjoy the Hotel amenities and facilities. DAY 2. SAN JOSÉ – PACUARE RIVER. Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the Pacuare River, the route winds through many picturesque communities. Once we arrive, our expert guide will instruct you on safety measures for white water rafting. We will traverse class II and III rapids during a one and a half hour ride to the Pacuare Lodge, located on the banks of the river and your home for the next two days. Lunch and dinner included. DAY 3. RIO PACUARE Breakfast at your hotel. You will wake up to the enchanting calls of endemic bird life and the calm sounds of the nearby river. The lodge has a local naturalist guide who will share his vast knowledge of the local flora and fauna. Choose from the exciting optional tours that include: guided hiking through the emerald green rainforest; tour to visit the indigenous people of Cabécar - where visitors can participate in a cultural exchange with a local Shaman; or select the Adventure of the Rainforest Canopy Tour and glide along a zip line through the splendid canopy of the tropical rainforest. We continue our white water rafting down the Pacuare River, this time to the thrill of class III and IV rapids for approximately three and a half hours. Picnic style lunch along the river bank is included. Once we’ve finished the rafting tour, we will travel overland to the Arenal Volcano – Costa Rica’s most active volcano. DAY 5. ARENAL VOLCANO.

Here you will be able to see remnants of the last eruption of the volcano and afterwards we will visit the hot springs at Tabacón Resort. DAY 4. ARENAL VOLCANO – TORTUGUERO Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to Tortuguero National Park, along the way you will see many communities typical of the northern region of Costa Rica. We will then board a boat for a 2 hour trip up the canals to the hotel. After lunch, visit the town of Tortuguero. Dinner included. DAY 5. TORTUGUERO Breakfast at your hotel. Morning boat ride along the canals of Tortuguero, a national park renowned for its diversity of habitats that shelter seven species of turtle, a large variety of crustaceans and many species of fresh water fish. After lunch you are free to stroll through the grounds and explore the hotel surroundings. Dinner included. DAY 6. TORTUGUERO – PUERTO VIEJO, LIMON Breakfast at your hotel. We will once again board the boat for transfer to the embarcadero and then continue by land to Guápiles, where you may enjoy a delicious lunch. We then continue on towards the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. The cultural contrasts in Puerto Viejo astound most visitors as this is the birthplace of the Rastafarian Caribbean culture in Costa Rica. DAY 7. CAHUITA NATIONAL PARK Breakfast at your hotel.
