Abbiamo tradizioni antiche, forse tra le più antiche del ciclismo italiano. Siamo nati nel 1893 quando, a girare per le strade d’Italia, oltre alle nostre c’erano poche altre bici. Da allora, non abbiamo mai smesso di esistere, progettare, produrre, innovare e pensare al futuro. Sempre con un occhio alle nostre origini. Tuttavia, non ci crogioliamo nel passato: avere una grande tradizione ciclistica non basta. Per essere vincenti, oggi, occorre essere innovativi e propositivi, proiettati verso il futuro. Ci vogliono buone dosi di passione, tecnologia, innovazione.

We have ancient roots and are, probably, among the most ancient firms in Italian cycling history as we were born in 1893, when there were very few bicycles, apart from ours, touring the Italian roads. Since then, we have never stopped existing, designing, producing, innovating and thinking about the future. Without forgetting our origins. Nevertheless, we don’t linger in the past: having a great cycling tradition is not enough. To be winners, today, it is necessary to provide innovation and proposals. And a good portion of passion, technology, innovation too.

Ogni anno pensiamo alla bici che vorremmo, alla bici che non c’è, a quella che c’è e a come migliorarla. E grazie alla forte presenza nel campo agonistico, trasferiamo le “fatiche” dei nostri atleti su mezzi sempre più sicuri ed a misura delle vostre esigenze. Il XXI secolo ci ha dato le nanotecnologie e noi ci siamo affrettati a sperimentarle, siamo stati pionieri nell’uso dell’hydroforming con tubi che hanno fatto storia e nell’uso dei compositi siamo maestri con telai mtb top range, come il CSL-X. Oggi, il più importante organismo del design italiano, l’ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale) ci ha onorati di un grande riconoscimento: il nostro telaio Hammer è stato inserito nell’ADI Design Index 2009, che raccoglie il meglio della produzione di design, italiana.

Every year, we think about the bike that we would like, the bike that doesn’t exist, the one that exists and how to improve it. And thanks to our strong presence in the racing sector, we transfer all the “toiling” of our athletes on safer means according to your requirements. The 21st century has given us nanotechnologies and we immediately experimented them; we have been pioneers in the use of the hydroforming with tubes that made history and we are masters in the use of composite materials, withmtb frames top of the range such as the CSL-X. Today, the most important Italian design association, the ADI (Association for the Industrial Design), honored us with the insertion in the ADI Design Index 2009 edition, a volume that lists the best of Italian designed products.

Il GS Cicli Olympia da diversi anni è uno dei Team di Mountain Bike di maggior rilievo sia in campo nazionale che internazionale. La nostra attività agonistica si sviluppa per tutto l’anno ed i nostri successi si contano in Costa Rica, Messico, Canada, Egitto, South Africa ed in altre molte parti del mondo, oltre ovviamente in Europa ed in Italia dove il movimento dell’off-roads raggiunge il livello massimo. L’organico della squadra permette nella stessa giornata di essere al via in più competizioni e quindi di poter garantire una vasta visibilità al Team ed ai propri sponsor. Una politica di marketing delle divise e degli accessori del Team permette inoltre di espandere ulteriormente la nostra visibilità e dei nostri partner: un nutrito gruppo di amatori indossando il nostro abbigliamento solcano le strade e i sentieri di tutta Italia orgogliosi di vestirsi dei colori di una delle società più storiche e blasonate del settore. La stagione 2012 è stata ancora ricca di successi grazie alle performance dell’inossidabile Marzio Deho che continua, a dispetto del passare degli anni, a mietere vittorie; di Nicola Dalto, Agostino Andreis, Andrea Dei Tos, Thomas Meliti, Daniel Boschetto, Federico Fuser Christian Pallaoro e Giovanna Troldi che hanno saputo imporre il loro talento nelle diverse prove lungo l’arco della stagione.

PROGRAMMI 2013 La squadra punterà a vincere le maggiori granfondo e marathon del calendario nazionale, ponendosi come obiettivo i campionati italiani Marathon e i mondiali Marathon oltre a partecipare ai principali circuiti in programma nel calendario nazionale.

The GS Cicli Olympia for several years is one of the most significant MTB Teams both nationally and internationally. Our racing activity is spread throughout the year and our successes are counted in Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, Egypt, South Africa and many other parts of the world, and of course in Europe and in Italy, where the movement of off -roads reaches the maximum level. The staff team allows the same day to be at the start in many competitions and thus to ensure wide visibility to the team and to its sponsors. A marketing policy of Team uniforms and accessories also allows to further expand our visibility and of our partners: a large group of amateurs wear our clothing and line the streets and paths throughout Italy proud to wear the colors of one of the companies most historic and renowned of the sector. The 2012 season was still very successful thanks to the performance of the stainless captain Marzio Deho that continues, despite the passage of time, to reap victories. Thanks also to Nicola Dalto, Agostino Andreis, Andrea Dei Tos, Thomas Meliti, Daniel Boschetto, Federico Fuser, Christian Pallaoro and Giovanna Troldi who were able to impose their talent in different tests over the course of the season.

PLANS 2013 The team will aim to win the biggest Marathon and Granfondo of the national calendar, the main goal will be the Italian Championships Marathon and the world Championship Marathon , as well as to participate to the main races in the national calendar.

Its name is BULLET and it originates from a joint project with our friends at SCAPIN. Originating from an idea by the Scapin R&D Department and developed in technical partnership with Olympia, BULLET combines Scapin’s expertise in terms of geometries and finely crafted details with Olympia’s vast know-how and experience in the construction of dual suspension frames, with geometries for 26” and 29” wheels, in carbon fibre. BULLET’s geometry is specifically designed for 27.5” wheels; every angle is proportioned to obtain the best results from the new wheel diameter. The aggressive forms of the tubes in the frame, produced as a one-piece monocoque in UD T-700 fibre, are styled for overall rigidity. The details are top-class. The fork has a tapered head tube and integrated gear and derailleur cabling. The oil fluid line is external, passing along the down tube straight to the PostMount rear brake, in a much better protected position in the rear.Other major details? 12 mm aluminium rear thru axle, travel of 100 mm, Direct Mount for smoother chain travel, Press Fit TM bottom bracket, articulated joints on chainstay for brake caliper, with thick, well structured dropouts (which are anodized and protected by integrated plates) which reduce rear stay “float” and aid better brake function. And above all, original, daring design, which integrates and almost conceals the rear shock.

Si chiama BULLET ed il suo sviluppo nasce da un progetto congiunto con i cugini SCAPIN. Nato da un’idea dell’R&D Scapin e sviluppato in partnership tecnica con Olympia, BULLET coniuga la maestria Scapin in termini di geometrie e dettagli curati e la grande competenza ed esperienza Olympia, nella realizzazione di telai bi-ammortizzati, con geometrie per il 26” e il 29”, in fibra di carbonio. La geometria di BULLET è studiata appositamente per il 27,5”: ogni angolo è proporzionato per trarre il miglior profitto dal nuovo diametro ruote. Le forme dei tubi del telaio, realizzato in pezzo unico monoscocca in fibra di carbonio UD T-700, sono aggressive e studiate per la rigidezza dell’insieme. I dettagli sono di superpregio. L’ammortizzatore anteriore presenta uno sterzo conico, i passaggi di cambio e deragliatore sono interni. Il tubo dell’olio freno è esterno, passa sul down tube e arriva direttamente alla pinza freno PostMount, posteriore e molto più protetta. Altri dettagli, non dettagli? Perno passante da 12 posteriore in alluminio, escursione da 100, Direct Mount per favorire il fluido scorrimento della catena, movimento Press Fit TM , snodi sul posteriore basso per la pinza freno, con forcellini (anodizzati e protetti da placchette integrate) ben strutturati e di spessore, che riducono l’effetto “flottante” del carro posteriore e favoriscono il miglior lavoro del freno. E soprattutto, un design inedito ed ardito, che integra e quasi nasconde l’ammortizzatore posteriore.

A direct sister of the Blast model, for the frame design, Brave is made of light aluminum alloy 7005 with triple-thickness tubes. The very aggressive shapes of Brave are obtained by hydroforming. In the design, the quadrilateral spot, with the rear 6-point Horst joint stands out. Characterized by a 105 mm travel, Brave has a very light frame, reactive and handy. In particular, the six-point joint gives great fluidity to the pedal stroke, even on very uneven and rough terrains. The shock absorber installed on the rear stays is a lockable Rock Shox Ario RL, very light and very performing. The catchy graphics and the possibility to mount it with many group options make of Brave a top full suspended bike for connoisseurs.

Lo Scrambler 2012 è totalmente nuovo. Del precedente modello porta solo il nome. E’ una “all mountain” di livello con prestazioni top. Il telaio è realizzato in Al 7005 con tubazioni idroformate e dotato di sospensione posteriore con tecnologia FSS “Floating Shock Suspension System”. FFS è un sistema di pivot flottanti dove lo shock applicato al carro posteriore passa dal “link” superiore a quello inferiore durante la fase di compressione. Il design ottimale del pivot, associato alla applicazione posteriore delle forze, rende il sistema FSS estremamente vantaggioso, rispetto ai migliori sistemi di sospensione esistenti. Ad esempio, l’asse della ruota posteriore è stato ottimizzato affinché la lunghezza globale della catena abbia una variazione insignificante sull’intero sistema posteriore di ammortizzazione. Si evita, così, il famoso “kickback”, dovuto a un movimento indesiderato della cassetta durante la corsa, a tutto vantaggio dell’efficienza e della potenza di pedalata. Il carro posteriore è stato rinforzato e le sezioni dei posteriori sono state aumentate per una maggiore rigidezza laterale. The Scrambler’s 2012 is fully new. The name is all what is left from the previous version.It offers all the advantages of top-of-the-range products and the top performances of a high-class “all mountain”. The brand new frame of 7005 aluminum light alloy with hydro-formed tubing, features leading technical solutions, such as the FSS “Floating Shock Suspension System” technology. This term defines a floating pivot system where the shock applied to the rear stays passes from the upper link to the lower link during compression. The optimal pivot design, associated to the rear application of forces, makes the FSS system extremely advantageous compared to the best rear suspension systems on the market. The axle of the rear wheel has been optimized so that the overall length of the chain has an irrelevant variation on the entire rear shock-absorbing system. As a consequence, the kickback due to an unwanted movement of the cassette during the race is prevented, to the advantage of pedaling efficiency and power. The rear stays have been reinforced and sections have been increased, offering more side strength. Prestigious components like the hydraulic adjustable seat post (option) complete this super “all mountain”.

Si chiama 949, un nome singolare, un numero facile da ricordare, un peso non semplice da raggiungere: nei fatti, 949 è il peso-obbiettivo del nuovo telaio XC di Olympia, per una bici che, nella sua configurazione super-top, deve restare sotto agli 8kg. 949 è 100% Made in Italy, realizzato monoscocca in uno stampo unico, senza giunture, con la tecnica cosiddetta del “sacco a vuoto”. La lavorazione del ”sacco a vuoto” garantisce una struttura supercompatta, in tutte le sue sezioni, che reagisce meglio alle sollecitazioni. Il telaio è più leggero (meno aria, meno impregnante, uguale meno peso). Va precisato che la matrice di resina non ha compiti di resistenza meccanica: serve unicamente a garantire la coesione tra le fibre di uno stesso strato e tra strati adiacenti. Da un punto di vista del materiale, il nuovo 949 impiega tre diversi tipi di fibre di carbonio, strategicamente posizionati in funzione delle diverse sezioni del telaio. Tessuto UD M30, per dare rigidezza longitudinale, tessuto T700 multiassiale, per migliorare la rigidezza torsionale e tessuto Kevlar/Carbonio, (twill) per assorbire meglio le vibrazioni.

It is called the 949, an unusual name and a number that is easy to remember, but a weight difficult to achieve; 949 is actually the target weight of the new Olympia XC frame, for a bike that has to weigh less than 8 kg in its super-top configuration. The 949 is 100% Italian made, a monocoque produced in a single mould with no joints using the “vacuum bag” technique. The “vacuum bag” process guarantees a structure that is super-compact in all sections and withstands stresses better. The frame is lighter (less air, less impregnating agent, meaning less weight). Remember that the resin matrix does not provide mechanical strength: it simply binds the fibres together within and between layers. From the point of view of material, the new 949 uses three different types of carbon fibre, strategically positioned to suit the various sections of the frame. UD M30 fabric for longitudinal stiffness, T700 multiaxial fabric for better torsional rigidity and Kevlar/Carbon twill for better absorption of vibrations.

La versione per 29er di Nitro, è stata studiata appositamente per le “Big Wheels” offrendo agli amanti del genere un mezzo performante, versatile e potente.Il telaio è in Toray T700/T800 monoscocca. Le sue sezioni sono state disegnate con l’obbiettivo della massima affidabilità ma anche della leggerezza. Lo sterzo è conico, da 1 ½”, e l’ampia sezione del nodo scatola movimento garantisce massima robustezza e la possibilità di assemblare Nitro con tutti i tipi di Press Fit esistenti. Il movimento centrale è stato oggetto di un accurato studio, atto a massimizzare il corretto trasferimento della forza di pedalata. I foderi alti del carro posteriore sono stati rivisti nelle forme mentre all’interno del chain stay, il posteriore basso, è stata inserita la pinza freno post mount, per la massima stabilità di frenata.

Nitro is also available for the 29ers, the big wheels. It offers flexibility and powerful performances. Nitro 29” sports a Toray T700/T800 carbon monocoque frame. It has been redesigned, working on its sections, to attain maximum reliability and lightness. The 1 ½” head tube is tapered, and the wide section of the bottom bracket joint ensures maximum strength and the possibility to assemble Nitro with all existing Press Fit types. Moreover, the bottom bracket has been subjected to an accurate study, in order to maximize the correct transfer of the pedaling strength. For this reason, its configuration is quite solid. As for the rear stays, the higher blades have been redesigned while we have added the post mount brake clamp inside the chain stay, for maximum stability during braking.

CSL-X: non una sigla come tante, ma una storia, lunga di anni, che parla di vittorie importanti in campo XC e Marathon, che ci ricorda in particolare il grande Marzio Deho, porta colori pluri-medagliato del team Olympia e tanti altri che come lui, hanno corso su uno dei migliori telai XC Olympia degli ultimi anni. Per il 2013, il CSL-X viene sottoposto ad un vero restyling e ne viene introdotta una versione 27,5”. Olympia crede fermamente nella nuova tendenza 27,5”. Per molte ragioni e non solo perché è il miglior compromesso tra il 26” e il 29”. Giusta leggerezza, giusta scorrevolezza della ruota, geometrie adatte a tutti (anche a chi non supera il 1,80 m) e soprattutto, ottimale maneggevolezza dello sterzo, anche in discese impegnative o strette: ecco i vantaggi di una ruota da 27,5”. CSL-X dunque, diventa CSL-X2 27,5” e cambia volto, o meglio, telaio. Parliamo di un pezzo monoscocca con nuovo disegno esclusivo Olympia, con una forma molto trendy, dalle possenti tubazioni, filanti nel disegno, scattanti, nervose. Le geometrie sono studiate in funzione del diametro maggiorato delle ruote.

CSL-X: not just a code, but rather a history going back for years, with major XC and Marathon victories, won in particular by the great Marzio Deho, the Olympia team’s multi-medal winning standard bearer, and many others who, like him, have raced on one of the best Olympia XC frames of the last few years. For 2013, the CSL-X is undergoing a real restyling and a 27.5” version is being launched. Olympia strongly believes in the new 27.5” trend. For many reasons, and not just because it is the best compromise between 26” and 29”. The right light weight, the right smooth wheel run, geometries that suit everyone (even those less than 1.80 m tall) and, above all, excellent steering handling, even in difficult or narrow descents: these are the advantages of a 27.5” wheel. So the CSL-X becomes the CSL-X2 27.5” and changes its look, or rather its frame. We are talking about a monocoque piece with a new exclusive Olympia design, with a very trendy shape, with massive, streamlined, aggressive tubes. The geometries are designed to suit the larger wheel diameter. Built in HR Toray T800 carbon fibre, the frame has a tapered head tube, PressFitTM bottom bracket, integrated gear cabling, Direct Mount Shimano/SRAM derailler, 12 mm rear thru axle (with adapter for the 10 mm size) and rear dropout with internal Post Mount, for more stable braking.

Il BULL è un modello completamente nuovo in casa Olympia e si inserisce tra il Master è l’Hi-Tech. Dà vita ad una “front suspended” di tutto rispetto che, pur in fascia “entry level”, offre prestazioni di pregio e caratteristiche da top di gamma. Progettato custom su disegno Olympia, BULL è destinato all’XC. Il telaio è realizzato in lega leggera di alluminio con tubi a triplo spessore, le cui saldature, realizzate TIG, vengono poi spianate per la massima pulizia estetica. Il materiale utilizzato da Olympia per la realizzazione dei tubi è l’esclusiva lega leggera MagmA SWTM. Messa a punto per Olympia, questa lega fa parte della classe 7000, trattata termicamente, e presenta una maggior presenza di Magnesio e micro percentuali di additivi come l’Argento e alliganti rari come il Berillio, atti a migliore la resistenza meccanica e a ridurre l’ossidazione del metallo ad elevate temperature. A completamento: lo sterzo del telaio è del tipo “tapered” da 1,5”, il forcellino posteriore è dotato di pinza freno PostMount per una migliore scorrevolezza della frenata, la scatola movimento è del tipo PressFitTM. Il BULL sarà disponibile con montaggi dal DEORE MIX fino all’XT oppure venduto come kit telaio.

• Alloy 7005 triple butted frame

The BULL is a completely new addition to the Olympia stable, slotting in between the Master and the Hi-Tech. It creates an impressive front suspension bike which may be entry level but still delivers excellent performance and high-end characteristics. Custom designed to an Olympia concept, BULL is intended for the XC market. The frame is in light aluminium alloy with triple-thickness tubes, with the TIG welds are flattened for a streamlined look. The material used by Olympia for the tubes is the exclusive MagmA SWTM light alloy. Developed for Olympia, this alloy is in the heat treated 7000 class and contains a higher percentage of magnesium with tiny amounts of additives such as silver and rare alloy elements like beryllium, to improve mechanical strength and reduce the metal’s oxidation at high temperatures. Other key features: tapered 1.5” head tube, rear dropout with PostMount brake calliper for smoother braking, and PressFitTM bottom bracket. The BULL will be available in DEORE MIX assemblies up to the XT version, or sold as a frame kit.

Dedicata all’amatore evoluto o a chi si avvicina alla mtb ma cerca già un prodotto medio-alto, Nitro offre tutti i vantaggi dei telai di alta gamma con un rapporto qualità/prezzo di assoluto interesse.Il telaio 2012, in Toray T700 monoscocca, è stato ridisegnato, lavorando sulle sue sezioni con l’obbiettivo della massima affidabilità ma anche della leggerezza. Lo sterzo è conico, da 1 ½”, e l’ampia sezione del nodo scatola movimento garantisce massima robustezza e la possibilità di assemblare Nitro con tutti i tipi di Press Fit esistenti. Il movimento centrale è stato oggetto di un accurato studio, atto a massimizzare il corretto trasferimento della forza di pedalata. Anche per questa ragione la sua configurazione è particolarmente massiccia. Quanto al carro posteriore, i foderi alti sono stati rivisti nelle forme mentre all’interno del chain stay, il posteriore basso, è stata inserita la pinza freno post mount, per la massima stabilità di frenata.

• UD Carbon Monocoque Toray T700 High Modulus

Dedicated to the amateur or to those who approach the mtb but are already looking for a medium-high level product, Nitro offers all the advantages of high-range frames and the top performances of a great front suspended mtb, although with an outstanding quality/price ratio. Nitro 2012 frame sports a Toray T700 carbon monocoque frame. It has been redesigned, working on its sections, to attain maximum reliability and lightness. The 1 ½” head tube is tapered, and the wide section of the bottom bracket joint ensures maximum strength and the possibility to assemble Nitro with all existing Press Fit types. Moreover, the bottom bracket has been subjected to an accurate study, in order to maximize the correct transfer of the pedaling strength. Also for this reason, its configuration is quite solid. As for the rear stays, the higher blades have been redesigned while we have added the post mount brake clamp inside the chain stay, for maximum stability during braking.

Boost fa fare un ulteriore salto verso l’alto al prestigioso marchio Olympia. E’ dedicata all’agonista super-esigente che vuole un mezzo reattivo, leggero, aerodinamico. Il telaio è monoscocca in Toray T23/T30/T36/T42. E’ realizzato grazie all’innovativa tecnologia HPMS (HIGH PRESSURE MODULAR SYSTEM) che utilizza l’anima gonfiabile all’interno dello stampo a pressioni di circa 100psi, comprimendo le fibre in modo assolutamente uniforme. Inoltre, l’alta pressione fa espellere il collante in eccesso, compattando i tessuti: la struttura è più resistente, con migliorate proprietà meccaniche. I manufatti realizzati con la tecnologia HPMS presentano decisi vantaggi perché le fibre possono essere compattate anche in modo selettivo. La geometria di Boost ricorda i mezzi da crono senza spingere sull’esasperazione tipica di questi telai. In Boost tutti i cavi scompaiono all’interno del telaio e il tubo diagonale alloggia un vano per la batteria del cambio elettronico Di2. La scatola movimento si adatta a tutti i tipi di Press Fit. Lo sterzo è conico, la forcella è dedicata, monoscocca di carbonio, esclusiva Olympia. Da notare, infine, l’esclusivo reggisella Monolink di Olympia. • UD Carbon Monocoque HPMS System

Boost causes the prestigious Olympia brand to take a further leap to the top. Ideal for very demanding race bikers looking for a reactive, light, aerodynamic and extra-strong frame. It sports a Toray T23/T30/T36/T42 carbon fiber monocoque frame, made thanks to the super-innovative HPMS technology (HIGH PRESSURE MODULAR SYSTEM). HPMS allows using the core inflatable inside the mould at pressures of approx. 100 psi, so as to compress the fibers in an absolutely uniform way. At the same time, high pressure causes the glue in excess to be expelled. The structure is thus stronger, with improved mechanical characteristics. Boost reminds the shapes of a TT bike, but without stressing on the exacerbation typical of those frames. In Boost, all cables disappear inside the frame. Its down tube accommodates a special box designed to contain the battery of the Di2 electronic gear changer. The bottom bracket adjusts to all types of Press Fit. The head tube is tapered and rests on a dedicated carbon monocoque fork, exclusive of Olympia. Finally, note the exclusive Monolink seat post by Olympia. The bottom bracket is very large and adjusts to all types of Press Fit. The rear fork blades are studied for maximum stiffness. The head tube is tapered and the exclusive aero shaped Monolink seat post, design by Olympia, is not built-in like in Boost, but features a concealed clamp; it can be compatible to traditionally framed saddles thanks to an adapting kit.

Il nuovo design ne rivoluziona interamente le forme mantenendo inalterato, però, il concetto che ha reso questo modello uno dei bestseller di Olympia, nel tempo: massima resa, minima spesa. I dettagli di pregio, sull’EGO RS, non si contano: tutti i passaggi dei cavi, ad esempio, sono interni al telaio, lo sterzo è “tapered” da 1,5” e appoggia su una forcella monoscocca in fibra di carbonio, la scatola movimento è del tipo PressFit TM e la predisposizione per il cambio elettronico Shimano Di2 ne fa un oggetto di assoluto valore, considerando la fascia in cui si posiziona. Il telaio è realizzato in fibra di carbonio T700, con struttura monoscocca ottenuta con la tecnica del “doppio stampo”, altrimenti detto “e-mold”. Questa tecnologia, che utilizza due diversi stampi (uno interno ed uno esterno), per la realizzazione della struttura in pezzo unico, è garante della grande compattezza dei tessuti in composito e dell’ottima leggerezza del telaio finito. Va precisato infatti, che il modello EGO RS, in taglia M, verniciato, pesa solo 1100 gr.!

Khers is the model by Olympia proposed for both the Racing range and the Light Street range. The entire frame was designed with the goal to improve its strength. As a matter of fact, Khers features a frame with triple thickness tubes made of class 7000 light aluminium alloy whose trade name is MagmA SWTM. The MagmA SWTM alloy is a thermally treated, light alloy, which has a higher percentage of Magnesium and micro-percentages such as Silver and rare alloy elements such as Beryllium, to improve mechanical strength and reduce oxidation at high temperatures. Khers horizontal and down tubes are characterized by a new exclusive design by Olympia, the brake cableways are inside the horizontal tube and the vertical the stays are shaped and lightened.
