Cease and Desist Demand

Dear Mr. Bonetti, Please be advised that the undersigned represents Dr. William Goligher. My client has advised me that, on multiple occasions, Anglican Watch has made solacious, slanderous, and speculative statements about Dr. Goligher. These statements include but are not limited to the following: “the person with whom Goligher was having sex in the Lancaster Park allegedly was married deaconess Susan Elzey,” “Elzey’s… apparent affair with Liam Goligher,” and “here are the criminal dockets for Liam Goligher and Susan Elzey having sex in a public park,” as well as headlines such as “Tenth Presbyterian’s Deaconess Susan Elzey Exposed as Goligher’s Adulterous Partner.” The allegations described hereinabove are conjecture designed to defame and disgrace Dr. Goligher, and he is concerned that similar unsubstantiated allegations may be made against him in the future on Anglican Watch. Accordingly, demand is hereby made that you immediately cease and desist from making any further unfounded allegations and immediately retract the statements currently posted on your website. If you continue to host and/or post these statements and those similar, my client will be left with no choice but to institute further legal action against you, including but not limited to reporting the matter to law enforcement and/or filing a civil action against you in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Please feel free to contact me should you desire to discuss this matter. Should you desire to retain counsel to represent you with regard to this matter, please take this correspondence to him or her and request that he or she contact me as soon as possible. Sincerely, /s/ Richard Coble Richard Coble, Esq.
