imaginary friend, only it was a HORSE! He would talk to it as he galloped around our yard. Then we (our sister Tish and me) could not hear what he was saying. Whenever our family went anywhere in the car Mike would tie his imaginary horse to the back fender before he got in. When we got to where we were going he would go around to the back of our car and untie his horse and gallop away. We used to make terrible fun of him for this. But Mike did not let that stop him. What was the horse’s name? Maybe it was Mr. Ed. Mr. Ed could talk and sing. He could jump four feet and roll around. I think that Mr. Ed was mad at you because you made fun of him. Your Dad will have to fill you in on who these characters are, but Mike’s imaginary horse was called Topper. He called him Topper because that was Hopalong Cassidy’s horse’s name and Mike just loved Hoppy. He had Hoppy guns and holsters and a black shirt just like Hoppy did. I think Mike wanted to be Hopalong Cassidy. It was terrible of me to make fun of Topper but that’s what big brothers are best at. How about big sisters? Does Guerin ever make fun of you?
