Welcome to our 2016 Christmas gift catalogue We’ve carefully selected lots of lovely cards and gifts that offer you excellent quality and value for money. We hope you like this year’s selection as much as we do! At Christmas, time spent with the people you love is precious. For the families of patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) who are unable to go home at Christmas, this is true more than ever. By buying your cards and gifts from our shop, you’ll be helping to fund vital support services that allow families to be together. With your help, we could provide accommodation for families like Amelia’s, who feature throughout our Christmas catalogue. Amelia came to GOSH when she was four months old, shortly before Christmas 2009. She suddenly collapsed due to her undiagnosed heart condition, and was rushed to GOSH to receive life-saving surgery. While Amelia was in hospital, her mum and dad, Jacey and Phil, were able to stay in family accommodation funded by Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, allowing them to be close to their daughter at such a critical time.

On Christmas Day, Amelia gave her parents the “best present ever” when she opened her eyes. Now aged seven, Amelia is happy, healthy and loves to dance! This year’s patient Christmas card was created by Amelia and her little brother, Thomas. 100 per cent of the profits from the sale of their Christmas card design and other stationery and gifts in this catalogue support the hospital. Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up, has been helping children everywhere for nearly 90 years. In 1929, JM Barrie gifted all his rights to Peter Pan to what was then the Hospital for Sick Children at Great Ormond Street. Since then, the hospital has received proceeds from stage productions, books and films based on the original play. Barrie had long been a supporter of the hospital and his exceptional gift was a natural expression of that support.
