In his second season as graduate manager at Penn State, Gifford is pursuing his master’s of business administration at Penn State. He began his career serving as a student manager for the Nittany Lions for four seasons and as head manager from 2007-09. In that capacity he oversaw and assigned duties to a 22-member group of student managers, assisted the video coordinator in the creation of scouting reports and coordinated meals for the team and staff. Gifford also worked Penn State basketball camps for four years. A native of Penn Yan, N.Y. and graduate of Prattsburgh Central School, Gifford graduated from Penn State in 2009 with a degree in information sciences and technology. He posted a 3.69 grade-point-average and is currently working toward his master’s degree. The son of Jeff and Wendy Gifford, his sister, Amanda, is a 2005 graduate of Penn State and serves as the producer for ESPN Gameday radio and has also worked on such programs as the “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd.
