CAREER HIGHLIGHTS 2004-05: 7-23, 1-15 Big Ten Penn State loses its leading scorer at the start of Big Ten play and relies heavily on its talented freshmen. * Geary Claxton becomes the second-ever Nittany Lion to be named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team.

2005-06: 15-15, 6-10 Big Ten • NIT Despite fielding the youngest and smallest line-up in the Big Ten, DeChellis guids the Lions to their first post-season apearance, most wins, and most conference wins in five years. * Jamelle Cornley becomes the first Nittany Lion named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and the third straight selection to the All-Freshman team. * Geary Claxton named first team USBWA All-District 1 and third team All-Big Ten, * Lions equal most Big Ten road wins (3) in program history. * Penn State defeats No. 6 Illinois in Assembly Hall, the highest ranked opponent ever beaten on the road in program history. * First Big Ten Tournament win in five years. * 0-1 NIT 2007-08: 15-16; 7-11 Big Ten Despite leading scorer and rebounder Geary Claxton for the final 15 games and second leading scorer Jamell Cornley for six games, DeChellis leads a team starting four freshmen to its most Big Ten wins (7) and best Big Ten finish (7th) since 2001. The Lions knock off #7 Michigan State and #17 Indiana along the way.
