a han pasado 25 años desde que alguien tuvo la idea de hacer un campo de golf en una zona que parecía imposible, por suerte, esos visionarios siguieron adelante, y a día de hoy, ese proyecto es toda una realidad.
Estamos orgullosos de tener 27 hoyos de golf que son referencia de calidad en la Costa del Sol. Además, contamos con instalaciones deportivas complementarias, como son pistas de paddle y la Escuela Internacional de Golf La Quinta. También disponemos de SPA-Gimnasio, Restaurante con amplios salones de celebraciones y reuniones, y guardería para niños, sin olvidar la posibilidad de alojarse en el Hotel La Quinta. Quiero agradecer a todos los que hicieron y hacen a día de hoy que La Quinta Club de Golf sea mucho más que un campo de golf, es un lugar magnífico donde disfrutar del tiempo libre con la familia y amigos. En especial, agradecer a los accionistas, empleados, proveedores y clientes su compromiso, ya que sin ellos, sería imposible mantener unas instalaciones y servicios con el nivel de calidad que tenemos la suerte de compartir con todos ustedes. t has now been 25 years since someone had the idea of developing a golf course in an area that seemed impossible. Fortunately, these visionaries pressed ahead with their plans and today the project is a complete reality.
We are proud to have 27 golfing holes that are a standard-bearer for quality on the Costa del Sol. In addition, our complementary sports amenities include paddle tennis courts and the La Quinta International Golf Academy. We also have a spa-gymnasium, a restaurant with spacious events and meetings rooms, and a nursery for children – not forgetting the possibility of staying at La Quinta Hotel. I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who has helped make La Quinta Golf Club much more than a golf course: today it is a magnificent place where people can enjoy their leisure time with family and friends. I would especially like to thank shareholders, staff, suppliers and clients for their contribution and commitment; without them it would be impossible to maintain these amenities and services at the high level of quality we are fortunate to be able to offer you. pioneering facility on the Costa del Sol founded in 1990, La Quinta Golf Academy is run by European Tour and Ryder Cup star Manuel Piñero. Its amenities are set in an incomparable natural setting, with natural grass tee areas, artificial grass and covered areas to allow players to fine-tune their games when the weather is not at its best. It also has a chipping and pitching area, with a green surrounded by bunkers and a putting green. Other services and facilities include swing analysis and monitoring, a golf shop and a pleasant café-bar with a terrace where golfers can enjoy the natural surroundings and culinary options. The extensive programme of classes and courses offered by La Quinta Golf Academy is structured and designed in line with the ability, playing level, age, objectives and availability of each golfer. CLASES INDIVIDUALES
Clases totalmente personalizadas, tanto en la escuela como en el campo de golf, adaptándonos a sus necesidades y nivel de juego.
CURSO INICIACIÓN ADULTOS
En tan solo una semana le enseñaremos los conceptos básicos del golf, reglas y normas de etiqueta, en grupos de 2-6 personas 2 horas diarias, incluyendo todo el material necesario.
CURSO AVANZADOS
Mejoraremos su swing con el apoyo del video análisis. Cursos de 2 horas diarias en grupos reducidos, entre 2-4 personas. Incluyen clases en el campo de golf.
CURSO INFANTIL
Este curso permite formar a niños entre 5-16 años. Le enseñaremos los conceptos básicos de este deporte hasta afrontar con éxito los torneos. Todo bajo la supervisión de un profesor por cada 10 niños.

We will work out a structured golf tuition schedule based on the level of each student.
BEGINNER’S COURSE
You will have the opportunity to learn the basic elements of golf, ie. The swing, the rules and etiquette. The classes are 2 hours daily with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 players. All material included.
ADVANCE COURSE
We will work on developing and improving your swing. 2 hours daily, playing lessons on golf course and video swing analysis. Minimum 2 Maximum 4 players.
CHILDREN’S COURSE
Children’s course introduces kids between 5-16 years of age. They will learn the basic elements of golf, ie. The swing, the rules… Student ratio 1 to 10.
FAMILY GOLF COURSE
Este curso es perfecto para aprender a jugar al golf con toda su familia de forma fácil y muy divertida.
It´s a perfect course to learn golf and have a fun day with your family.
CLINIC COORPORATIVO Y GRUPOS

Ingredientes 160 grm de bacalao lomo 5 ud de mejillones 4 grm de goma xantana 70 cl Caldo de mejillones 7 grm de huevas de trucha 20 grm camarones
Bacalao confitado con caldo de mejillones, huevas de trucha y polvo de camarones
Glazed cod with broth of mussels, trout roe and shrimp powder PreparaciĂłn: Confitamos un lomo de bacalao en aceite que aromatizaremos con ajo y hierbas. Para el caldo de mejillones cocemos los mejillones con fumet, vino blanco, jengibre y unos granos de pimienta negra, colamos y aĂąadimos la goma xantana hasta que nos quede un caldo algo gelatinoso. Para el polvo de camarones: Extendemos los camarones en una bandeja y secamos al horno a 90 grados durante 40 minutos.
Ingredients: 160gr cod fillet, 5 mussels, 4gr xanthan gum, 70cl mussels broth, 7gr trout roe, 30gr shrimps (camarones) Preparation: Glaze a fillet of cod with oil flavoured with garlic and herbs. For the broth, cook the mussels with fumet, white wine, ginger and peppercorn, strain and add the xanthan gum until the broth becomes jelly-like. For the shrimp powder: Place the shrimps on a tray and dry them in an oven at 90 degrees for 40 minutes.

n el año 1991 se hace el primer torneo importante de La Quinta, y tuvimos la suerte de contar con algunos de los mejores jugadores españoles de todos los tiempos, como Severiano Ballesteros o José María Olazábal, y por supuesto nuestro profesional y campeón de la Ryder Cup, Manuel Piñero.

n La Quinta Club de Golf estamos plenamente comprometidos con el medioambiente, y además de tener la certificación ambiental ISO 14001, no dejamos de investigar e implantar métodos y productos que hagan cada vez más sostenible si cabe nuestra gestión, intentando no impactar de forma negativa en nuestro entorno. Durante años, el control de las algas que proliferan en los lagos ha sido un quebradero de cabeza, especialmente en épocas estivales. Tradicionalmente, se han venido usando medios químicos para controlar esta eclosión de algas, pero estos tratamientos tenían que hacerse de forma continua, y si bien no son perniciosos con el medio ambiente, no dejan de aplicarse agentes químicos. Tras una tarea de investigación para buscar una solución más ecológica y duradera, vimos que se estaban usando en diferentes partes del mundo, carpas híbridas herbívoras, que podían controlar apropiadamente la expansión de algas en los lagos. Primero quisimos hacer una prueba, que se llevó a cabo en el lago del green del hoyo 9 del campo B, con resultados sorprendentes, tras lo cual incorporamos carpas al resto de lagos del campo con resultados muy satisfactorios.

t La Quinta Club de Golf we are completely committed to the environment and, in addition to having ISO 14001 environmental certification, we never stop researching and introducing methods and products that ensure our management is – where possible – even more sustainable, always aiming to avoid any negative impact on our surroundings. For years, controlling algae that proliferates in the lakes has been a headache, especially during the summer months. Traditionally, chemical methods have been used to control the emergence of this algae, but these treatments had to be applied continuously and – while they are not harmful to the environment – they do use chemical agents. After undertaking research to find a more ecological and long-lasting solution, we saw that in different parts of the world they were using herbivorous hybrid carp which could control, in an appropriate manner, the spread of algae in lakes. First of all we wanted to do a test, which we carried out in the lake on the ninth hole of the B course, and the results were amazing. We then introduced carp to the rest of the course’s lakes, with very satisfactory results.
RECORRIENDO LA QUINTA CON MANUEL PIÑERO
HOYO 6 RECORRIDO C
Este nuevo par 3, es uno de los hoyos de los que más orgulloso me siento como diseñador. Aunque a priori no es un tiro muy largo, exige mucha precisión desde el tee, con una diferencia de dos palos dependiendo de si la bandera está en la parte frontal del Green o en la parte de atrás. Si la bola está lejos de bandera tendrás un putt complicado ya que el green tiene plataformas a distintos niveles. Hacer el par en este hoyo aparentemente sencillo es muy buen resultado.
HOLE 6 COURSE C
This new par-3 is one of the holes that makes me feel most proud as a designer. Even though initially it doesn’t seem to require a very long drive, it does call for great accuracy from the tee, with a difference of two clubs depending on whether the flag is at the front of the green or in the rear section. If the ball lands a long way from the pin, you will have a difficult putt because the green is tiered on different levels. Making par on this seemingly easy hole is a very good result.

Juega siempre un palo más del que te marque la distancia ya que es difícil pasarte en este hoyo. Preferentemente apóyate en la parte derecha del green.
Always play one club more than the distance suggests, because it’s difficult to hit over the green. Ideally aim for the right part of the green.
