As a Redshirt Sophomore (2011): Atlantic 10 Conference All-Academic Team selection … played in eight games and made six starts after appearing in just one game as a redshirt freshman … logged 687 minutes of action in net, allowing just seven goals for a goals against average of 0.92 … made 27 saves on the year and finished with an overall record of 4-2-2, including two shutouts … the first shutout came against George Washington on Sept. 30 … her second blanking came on Sept. 16 as part of a 2-0 win over Saint Louis on Senior Day … after making just 10 saves in her first five games of the season, she made 17 saves in her final three games.

As a Freshman (2011): Made an immediate impact on the Brown and White in her first season as she led the team with three assists, two of which came in Atlantic 10 Conference action and one which came on SBU’s lone goal of the A-10 Championship … one of just three freshman on the roster to play in all 20 games … made five starts on the campaign – the first three games of the season and the final two … recorded her first career point with a helper on Janelle Taylor’s game-winning goal against Duquense on Oct. 8 … added another assist – this one of the game-tying variety – as she slipped a pass to Tori Burchett at Rhode Island on Oct. 21 … assisted on Burchett’s final career goal as part of Bona’s 3-1 loss in the A-10 Championship against Massachusetts on Nov. 3.

As a Sophomore (2011): Made 14 appearances on the season, including 13 starts … scored one goal and attempted eight shots, five of which came in her seven A-10 games … her lone goal of the campaign – a header off a free kick – gave the Bonnies a 2-1 lead against Big 4 rival University at Buffalo on Sept. 3 … a key member of the defensive backfield, she helped shut out seven opponents on the year and allowed just 21 goals in 20 games … attempted two shots in a game on three different occasions – the first against Sacred Heart on Sept. 9, the second opposite George Washington on Sept. 30 and the final time versus Duquesne on Oct. 8.

Jr. n Midfielder/Defender As a Sophomore (2011): Appeared in all 20 games in her second season wearing the Brown and White, making 14 starts and six in A-10 action … finished with one assist on the campaign … it came against Saint Louis on Oct. 16 as she helped SBU add an insurance tally in a 2-0 win … finished third on the team with 40 shots, and finished fourth on the squad with 16 on frame … her five shots on goal against Richmond on Oct. 2 were tied for the most in a single game by a Bona player all year.

So. n Forward/MF/Defender As a Freshman (2011): Became an immediate offensive force in her first season wearing the Brown and White … one of just two SBU players with double-digit points on the season as she scored four goals and added two assists for 10 points … the only Bona player with two multi-point games (goal and assist in the same game) … she accomplished that feat in back-to-back contests on the same weekend as she scored a goal and added an assist against Canisius and Niagara on Sept. 16 and 18, respectively … the tally against Niagara was the game-winner … scored a goal in consecutive games against Duquesne on Oct. 8 and Charlotte on Oct. 14 … led Bona in shots during the A-10 schedule with 26 … one of just three freshmen to play in all 20 games … made nine starts on the campaign, five of which came in A-10 action and another in the A-10 Championship game against Massachusetts … her eight shots attempted against Charlotte on Oct. 14 were tied for the second most by a Bona player in a single game all year.

So. n Midfielder/Forward As a Freshman (2011): One of just three freshmen to play in all 20 games … made 18 starts on the campaign, the most by far of any first-year player and tied for fifth-most on the roster … finished tied for third on the team with six points off a pair of goals and two assists … her first collegiate goal and assist came in the same game opposite Big 4 rival University at Buffalo on Sept. 3 … the goal against the Bulls was the game-winner as part of a 3-2 SBU triumph, and her assist helped tie the game at 1-1 … her second goal of the year came against another rival, this time a strike against Canisius on Sept. 16 which pulled the Bonnies within a goal heading into the halftime break … her final point of the season came on Oct. 14 against Charlotte, an assist which came on the game-tying goal … attempted 23 shots on the year, tied for seventh-most on the SBU roster.

Jr. n Midfielder/Defender As a Sophomore (2011): Appeared in all 20 games, making 19 starts … the only game she did not start was Senior Day on Oct. 16 against Saint Louis to allow a senior teammate to start … has now started 39 of the first 41 games of her career … finished the campaign with two assists … her first helper came on Oct. 8 against Duquesne and her second came just two contests later against Saint Louis on Oct. 16 … the assist against the Billikens came on Tori Burchett’s game-winner.

As a Sophomore (2011): Started 13 games and appeared in 14, playing nearly 1,200 minutes in net … posted five shutouts (Aug. 19 at Bucknell; Aug. 28 vs. Binghamton; Sept. 9 vs. Sacred Heart; Sept. 18 at Niagara; Oct. 30 at Temple) … the five shutouts were just one shy of the school’s single-season record set in 2010 by Nicole Markert … as a team, Bonaventure posted a program-record seven clean sheets on the year, surpassing the previous record of six set in 2010 … allowed 14 goals for a goals-against average of 1.05 … made 53 saves for a save percentage of 79.1 … finished the campaign with an overall record of 5-5-2 … allowed just two goals in 290 minutes of Atlantic 10 Conference action as she played in each of SBU’s final three league contests and started two of them … had a 90.5 save percentage in those contests.

Jr. n Midfielder As a Sophomore (2011): Made 18 appearances, including 12 starts mostly in the midfield … scored one goal on the season – a strike which gave SBU a lead in a Sept. 3 outing against rival Buffalo … attempted 23 shots, nine of which went on frame … the 23 shots were seventh-most on the SBU roster.

22 Maureen Madden RS-Sr. n Defender

As a Redshirt Junior (2011): Made 13 appearances, including two starts – both of which came during SBU’s Atlantic 10 Conference schedule … the first came against Duquesne on Oct. 8 and the second occurred on Oct. 28 opposite Saint Joseph’s in a game which clinched Bona’s fourth straight trip to the A-10 Championship … attempted two shots on the campaign … the first came on Sept. 11 versus VMI and the second was taken in a losing effort against Richmond on Oct. 2.

5 Nicole Rosso Sr. n Midfielder

As a Junior (2011): Played in 17 games, making one start … the lone start of her season came on Oct. 14 against Charlotte, a 1-1 double-overtime tie against the 49ers … scored one goal on the season – a tally which gave SBU an early lead against visiting Colgate on Sept. 23 … made the most of her eight shots on goal as she put five of them on frame.

19 Shannon Van Riper RS-Sr. n Defender

Midfielder/Forward Alicia Elwell was one of three St. Bonaventure freshmen to play in every game during the 2011 season. Elwell started 18 games and tied for third on the team with six points.

As a Redshirt Junior(2011): Started 18 of the 19 games she appeared in during her second-to-last season wearing the Brown and White … attempted nine shots, including a season-high three against Duquesne on Oct. 8 … contributed one assist on the season – a helper on a Nicole Rosso goal against Colgate on Sept. 23 which gave Bonaventure a 1-0 lead … a mainstay in the central backfield for head coach Manoj Khettry all four years, she helped shut out seven opponents on the season and allowed just 21 goals in 20 games.

Her Buffalo Soccer Academy club was Region I Finalists in 2009 as U16’s. 4 year member of NYSW ODP Tournament team who were Region I ODP Tournament U16 finalists in 2010; One of top Western NY soccer players as published in ESPNHS Rise.

High School: Two-time Southern Tier Athletic Conference First Team selection … posted a 52-11-5 overall record for her high school career as a part of three straight Division championships … led Chenango Forks to a New York State Section IV title as a sophomore … increased her goal and assist totals in each of her four seasons, collecting 77 points on 23 goals and 31 assists overall … paced her club squad to the State Cup Championship for New York State West in 2010 around runner-up finishes 2009 and 2011.

Head Coach Manoj Khettry 7th year at SBU n Earlham College (1988)

A

determined and confident leader, Manoj Khettry has changed the identity of St. Bonaventure women’s soccer as he enters his seventh season in charge of the Bonnies in 2012.

Khettry guided the Bonnies to their fourth consecutive berth in the Atlantic 10 Championship in 2011 for the first time in program history. Along the way, St. Bonaventure became one of just three schools in the league to appear in each of the last four championships. Bonaventure finished the 2011 season at 9-7-4 overall, including a 4-2-3 mark in A-10 action. Impressively, five of the club’s nine victories came on the road, where it went a combined 5-2 away from McGraw-Jennings Field. Khettry once again coached an Atlantic 10 Conference First Team selection as Tori Burchett was named to the team. It marked the fourth straight year an SBU player has landed on the First Team. Burchett was also named to the A-10 All-Championship Team and to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team. Khettry’s 2011 Bonnies also achieved off the pitch as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) awarded St. Bonaventure the 2011 College Team Academic Award. Additionally, junior goalkeeper Jennifer Andrews was named to the A-10 All-Academic Team. During the 2010 season, Khettry’s squad tied a school record with 12 wins and earned the program’s first-ever Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament victory, a 2-0 triumph over UMass, in its programrecord third straight A-10 Championship appearance.

Assistant Coach Morie Kephart 1st year n Pittsburgh (2010) Former Pittsburgh Panthers standout goaltender Morie Kephert joined the St. Bonaventure coaching staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2012. Kephart spent the 2011 season as a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater. With the Panthers, she served as both a goalkeeper coach and practice partner. A native of State College, Pa., Kephart will work primarily with SBU’s four goaltenders, dispelling knowledge and talent which resulted in her owning six school records at Pitt.
