The Silver Creek, Ga., native made great strides at the end of 2009 and will continue to improve in 2010. Senior Jessica Ives returns from injury and provides crucial depth and can challenge for a place in the starting lineup. • Freshman and Boca Raton High School graduate Kailey McDougald will join returner Singleton for duties at second. Singleton is one of the versatile players on the team who can play multiple roles on the diamond and the outfield. • Banania will start at short for the Blue Raiders. She has the tools to be one of the top shortstops in the Sun Belt Conference. McDougald and Singleton will back up Banania. • Freshman Kristi Marquez will defend the hot corner at third base. She has great skills that need to be refined in order to achieve success. Singleton will provide depth at the postion.

A year of collegiate ball has vastly improved Barrett as a player. • McLure, a senior, and Dortch, a junior, were named tri-captains by their teammates for the 2010 season. • Corrie Abel returns from injury and will compete for a starting position she will look to pick up where she left off in 2009. • Freshmen Nina Davenport and Ashia Terry will add speed and power to the outfield.
