Travel Through Time By Liz Spencer Often we dwell so much on the past, We don’t see the future coming on so fast. Creeping so quickly, it takes us by surprise, While we look back on the past that we greatly despise. Now the future is here so don’t be shy, Because it will be gone in the blink of an eye.

If Only By Liz Spencer If you are blinded, I’ll be your sight. If there’s nothing but darkness, then I’ll be your light. If you can’t seem to set sail, then I’ll be your wind. If you’re drowned at sea, then I’ll reel you back in. If life gets too scary, I’ll rid you of fright. If you are knocked down, then I’ll stand up and fight. Yet as soon as I need help getting up off the floor, You turn your back, and ignore me once more.

Who Am I? by Mi’Amor McIntyre My name is Precious I look in the mirror and see a girl who was hurt But the mirror is cracked So I am a different girl Who nobody talks to Because I am an outsider Can you change me? No Because I am unstoppable So tell me something Do you see a girl who was hurt? Or a girl who was loved? You see a girl that was hurt From all the pain she went through. Everywhere I go...all eyes on me Why you ask? Because I’m so precious Why am I writing this? So my feelings can finally come out To tell you how I really feel about life And the people in it I cry and cry from all the pain in me My name is Precious My name is Painful My name is everything But maybe I am loved Because somebody asked me once, “What’s your name?” I said, “Precious.”

The Willow by Lesley Collins

One day, when Mary Ann was walking through Ever Forest, she saw a huge willow tree, with its roots reaching into a big puddle. Mary Ann came from a very poor family. She was very thirsty and just by looking at the big puddle, it made her even more thirsty. She decided to take a sip from the puddle. It was getting dark outside, so she decided to walk back home. She became tired and laid down for a nap. Later on, she woke up with a sharp pain in her stomach. She decided a walk through the forest might make her feel better. As she was slowly walking, she came upon the puddle again, so she took another sip. Then, all of a sudden, she heard someone say her name. She started to follow the sound and stumbled up to the big willow tree. Mary Ann became very afraid that the enormous willow tree was speaking to her. She looked up the tree and noticed raindrops falling from the tree, but it wasn’t raining. She then asked the willow tree, “Are you crying?” The tree answered! “Yes, I am crying because I am dying. Someone has been drinking from the water of my soul.” Mary Ann had a blank stare on her face because she was the one who drank from the puddle! She was so upset, knowing that she would be the cause of the willow tree’s death. She asked the tree how she could help. The tree said he needed someone else’s soul. Mary Ann was a bit confused but ready to help. She asked the tree how to get someone’s soul. The willow tree responded, “I don’t need your help to find me a soul.” Then, with his long roots, he dragged Mary Ann down into the ground.

Two Colliding Oceans by Matthew Scarberry

One day there were two oceans who did not know what to do during the day. All the fishes and animals went to the bottom of the ocean to play so the oceans had no one to play with...but then they thought of an idea.

The two oceans found a ball laying on the shore and started playing catch with it. Back and forth, back and forth, when suddenly, they heard a loud noise! It was thunder, as they thought!

The thunder kept roaring so they called the animals from the bottom of the ocean and told them to hear it. The animals were confused because they had never heard thunder before. The roar got louder and even louder! And then...it stopped! It all stopped! They waited for a quick second and then BOOM!!

A huge lightning bolt split right down the middle of the two oceans, killing everything within them. Both oceans were splattered with fishes everywhere...red things everywhere! The two colliding oceans.

The Mysterious Fish by Kenya Buckhanon

Once upon a time, in the deep blue sea, lived thousands of fish. They were all different shapes and sizes, with colors of every kind. But deep down, in the Pacific Ocean, lived a creature who none of the other fish had ever met. One day, a mama clownfish had her babies. Her four favorite babies were Jordan, Keyshia, Theodore, and Kenya. They were the curious ones. One day, they decided to go for an adventure! Keyshia and Jordan saw a dark cave with a little light coming from it and they wanted to know if there was treasure in it. All four clown fishes swam to the cave.. When they got there, they decided to leave Jordan outside, since he was the oldest and said that he would keep watch. TO BE CONTINUED?!

The Hunter by Joseph George Thomas In the heart of the savannah, the hunter stalks his prey. A single cloud in the sky, and a lion’s roar splits the scene. The kangaroo, the hunter’s prey, hops around with a buffed swagger. The hunter slowly creeps forward, blending in with the golden plains. The hunter pounces like a jungle cat, but the kangaroo is quicker. It turns around, and at the last second, it jumps out of the way, leaving the hunter flat on the floor. The hunter tries again, but the kangaroo is smart. It runs at full speed, the hunter not far behind.
