Precise Golf Resort el Rompido Precise Golf Resort el Rompido is situated in the south of Spain, in the province of Huelva, on the western side of Andalusia. On its famous vast beaches of white sand, the dunes and pine groves intermingle up to the water’s edge. Precise Golf Resort el Rompido is named after a small fishing village which can be reached on foot and is still as charming today. Set within a nature reserve (“Marismas del Río Piedras”), the complex is surrounded by pine and orange groves and crossed by the wetlands, which create an exceptional natural environment. The “Flecha” is also worth a mention: a spectacular 12km naturallyformed sand spit, completely unspoiled, which can only be reached by boat. The hotel runs a tourist train to take guests to both the village and the boat. Huelva has a mild, gentle maritime climate, with its lack of harsh winters and its summers cooled by the sea breeze. GOLF EL ROMPIDO: SOUTH COURSE
The south course runs alongside the clubhouse and is divided into two courses with very different characteristics, both in terms of technique and the landscape. The pine forest alternates with olive trees and wetlands, requiring golfers to use strategy and precision in their strokes. The course, which can be played easily on foot, offers spacious greens known to be among the fastest in Andalusia. The combination of tropical grass and winter grass gives the fairways a comfortable, pleasant feel.

SCHOOL The el rompido golf school, run by the prestigious Scottish professional Peter Ballingall, is one of the highlights of the complex. The author of several publications, his book entitled “Learn Golf in a Weekend” has sold over 500,000 copies and has been translated into nine languages. His method is a combination of technique and psychology. His motto “everyone can play better golf, naturally” has won over expert players and beginners alike. Both Peter Ballingall himself and the other instructors making up his team have devised a programme of private or group courses, suitable for all levels. Classes are given in several languages.

CLUB HOUSE The Clubhouse, situated on the south course, has a delightfully unique and original design, which is modern and minimalist, blending perfectly into the natural surroundings. The architect, Juan Antonio Foraster, and the designer, Ana Calder贸n, have managed to create a unique area in which spaciousness and functionality are its key attributes. With outside space, thanks to its welcoming terraces offering some spectacular views of hole 9, the Marismas del R铆o Piedras nature reserve and the Atlantic ocean, the Clubhouse provides all the services typical of a High Range golf course: bag drop, hire of manual and electric trolleys, hire of buggies equipped with GPS, changing rooms and club storage room.

El Chiringuito, a lovely wooden bar where you can make the most of the nice weather, even at night. In summer, La Terraza and El Chiringuito stay open at night so that guests can enjoy some wonderful late evenings. La Cafetería, a nice, bright space, thanks to the large windows opening out on to the course. El Balcón, overlooking hole 9, allows the surroundings to take centre stage, with the amazing views of the Marismas del Río Piedras nature reserve. El Patio de los Naranjos, a charming and welcoming orange tree patio with an Andalusian flavour, a peaceful spot where time seems to stand still.
