Global Caring Ethics

Any ideas for speeding up the spiritual harmony of the human species must be welcome. The philosophy behind my PS concept is one of them.” Question Two: “Where is this enlightenment going to come from? Religious faiths have failed mankind along peaceful paths. One only has to look at Christians murdering Moslems in Serbia, with the Mafia, drug barons, and extortionists, prospering regardless. With all the power of religious dogma telling us to be good citizens, from Adam and Eve onwards, it must be naive to think that a Mr Nobody can come up with a prescription to save the world's souls.” Reply: “Your comments are expected. Indeed, I asked myself similar questions. How can a person with no special qualifications have the impertinence to come up with a philosophy for peace on Earth when ‘specialists’ versed in ‘Godliness’ are there for that very purpose? My audacity is based on two criteria. Firstly our specialists, the religious faiths of the world, are in disarray themselves, and are not seen as a role model for universal camaraderie. Secondly, it is my firm belief that enthusiasm for caring, compassion, and goodwill has to come from within a person's soul ‘pointing outwards’, and one cannot effectively be taught these attributes ‘from outside pointing in’. If a child grows up with the notion that he or she has a responsibility to make the world a happier place, the soul will have been implanted with a seed of ‘self esteem’ which says, ‘I am capable of doing a little job for mankind’. Traditionally, we are taught that we are born sinful and that we must learn to fight wickedness to stem it's growth. In practice, this is counterproductive because man's ego is always rebellious. In contrast, selfgenerated caring attributes are more likely to enter the soul bank and be a credit to humanity. Whilst ‘soul implants’ in childhood are the most promising route to PS awareness, we adults have the means to raise our ‘soul levels’, by first being aware that we can do so, and then surprisingly find a hankering to do something about it. This is not a fantasy! Thousands of people already get this urge. It may be nurses, health workers, or volunteers who help the ill, the handicapped, or the homeless.
