Instinctive thought. The word ‘instinct’ is often used to describe how natural senses enter the genes, without any premeditation. For instance, a newly-born child instinctively reaches for its mother's breast, having used the umbilical cord for sustenance an hour previously. It is said that this is an instinct built into the genes, yet somehow an intelligent decision has been made. But it is impossible to say where instinct stops and reasoning thoughts take over. Animals, such as the great white geese, and mammals, travel vast distances across the world to breed and feed. Salmon, likewise, perform amazing feats, swimming halfway across the world and finally fighting upstream to spawn! The word, ‘instinct’, tells us that the creatures seem to know exactly what they are doing and why. This is an instinct integrated with skill to negotiate the varying conditions of current, wind, sea, tides etc. It is far more likely that they are using some form of natural guiding mechanism to perform these feats, one which man could not simulate without modern electronic gadgetry. Could it be that animals have the sensory perception to read ley lines and plot their path from those electrical force fields which cover the earth's surface like a labyrinth? Dogs have been shown to become excited when their masters leave to come home, irrespective of flexible working hours. Scientists believe there is a Morphic Field of sensory perception involved, something which may apply to the animal kingdom at large. A chameleon ‘instinctively’ changes it's colour to melt into the background and fool the predators. But to dismiss the idea that there is a degree of conscious reasoning behind the instinct, is avoiding the question, namely, ‘who is in charge of the operation?’ No-one can dismiss the existence of a master designer and creator and we should be eternally humble about this. Those who get excessively inspired with thoughts of conquering nature, should dwell on the fact that humans are just one of multi-billion life forms on this earth and some humility is needed. Instinct should be telling us a few home truths, and one is that we are part
