Why Choose GPS Summer Camp

for Your Girl?

Throughout the school year, GPS instills the values of honor, respect, curiosity, individuality, and relationships in hundreds of girls. During the summer, our campus becomes a dynamic environment where young girls can grow in their love of sports, gain the confidence that comes from learning a new skill, and build cherished friendships. We harness our resources and expertise in educating girls to provide an experience they’ll love. With a variety of camps from which to choose, your girl will find something to not just keep her busy but keep her engaged—from experimenting in the lab or kitchen to playing lacrosse or a violin.

MEET OUR DIRECTOR Summer Camp at GPS is a longstanding tradition for many families in our area. This year I have the unique privilege of continuing this community offering along with adding new opportunities to best serve our campers. As a kid, my summers were spent in sport camps and playing outdoors until the sun went down. That same play-untilyou-can’t-play-anymore spirit abounds here at GPS. And by “play,” we mean cook, dance, run, cheer, row, swim, paint, act, sing .... Whatever makes your child happy, we have it here at GPS Summer Camp. Our camp offerings allow kids to gain confidence from learning new skills, grow in their love of sports, and build friendships that help them flourish. While most of our camps are just for girls, we do host a few coed camps or suggest the myriad offerings at our brother school, McCallie. I don’t know about you, but I can’t WAIT for summer! I hope your child joins us for one or more camps this year. Best,

Lexi King Assistant Director of Admission and Auxiliary Programs 2

AT GPS SUMMER CAMP, your daughter can spend her entire summer learning, playing, laughing, and meeting new friends. Or perhaps she just wants to come for a week or two (or more!). However you choose to plan her summer, we are here for you. It’s easy to build her summer at GPS.edu/Summer. Simply combine half-day camps or choose all-day signature or specialty camps. Before- and aftercamp care can ensure your daughter has fun while you work. Campers attending full-day camps and enrolled in extended care may arrive as early as 7:40 a.m. and stay as late as 5:30 p.m. for an additional $10 per day. Campers not registered for extended care who arrive before 8 a.m. and/or stay past 4 p.m. will automatically be charged a $10 fee. Special pricing is also available for an eight-week camp experience. Please see page 5 for details.

I liked the activities and the organization of the camp. There seemed to be a great mix of relaxing time and activities to keep my daughter engaged throughout the day.” —Jennifer Fryar, parent 3

At Girls Preparatory School, our teaching methods, programs, culture, and priorities begin and end with what is best for girls. For more than 110 years, GPS has equipped girls to become the best versions of themselves. GPS students value and achieve a high level of academic excellence coupled with the character development and skills to excel in college and in their chosen professions. GPS girls understand the power of women supporting women to achieve more together and embrace the importance of leading lives of purpose and honor. Is your girl ready to be a GPS girl? To learn more, visit GPS.edu.

Only at GPS We know you have options for summer activities, but only at GPS will you find camps specially designed for all-day adventure. Half-day camps can be enjoyed by themselves or combined with other camp offerings for an all-day experience.

Lunch on us! A nutritious lunch served each day in our dining hall is included for all-day campers along with an afternoon snack.

Grandparents: WHO LEADS CAMPS? Most of our camps are led by GPS faculty and coaches who have years of experience teaching and coaching girls. Carefully curated experts are also brought on campus to enrich our offerings in areas such as cooking and photography and for our Safe Sitter Camps. And key to your daughter’s time at camp is the interaction and mentorship she’ll receive from her counselors—GPS students who appreciate the value of girl-to-girl connections and provide big-sister moments all summer long. 4

Ever wish your out-of-town family members could attend GPS? They can this summer! When your grandchildren visit, enrich their experience by sending them to GPS Summer Camp.

Options! Morning swim or ukulele lessons can be substituted for one of the camp’s morning rotations for an additional $65. Afternoon tennis lessons can be substituted for one of the camp’s afternoon rotations for an additional $65 (for Camp K only).

Have Boys? McCallie School offers day camps all summer long! Visit mccalliesummercamps.com for camp offerings.
