Philanthropy Project Want to make a difference for kids like you? Here is your opportunity with the Shoe that Grows! You can choose to donate shoes in place of a reward item. This philanthropic reward is part of the cumulative reward structure - meaning you can mix and match donating shoes and picking a reward at different levels!

Philanthropic Rewards Structure

Earn this patch when you donate a shoe at any level! All shoes donated from Girl Scouts of Central Indiana will be sent to school children in Kenya! Your donation will bring shoes to the hundreds of kids who walk roughly five miles to and from school. Start by writing in your total Girl Scout Cookie package goal above the space that says 100%, and be sure to include your smaller goals along the way. (Ask a grown-up to help if you need it.) Celebrate by coloring the water as you make your own magic!


2024 Trips Me and My Entrepreneur Trip Hershey, PA Travel Dates: June 10-15, 2024 Travel with a trusted adult by selling 2000+ packages OR earn half in the fall by Oct. 7 and selling 1000+ packages in the cookie program. Join Girl Scouts of Central Indiana staff members on a trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania! On this road trip, you and your Girl Scout can look forward to activities such as: traveling by bus indoor waterpark, Hershey museums, Hershey Park, Flight 93 Memorial, and Hershey’s Chocolate World. Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 18, at 1:00p.m. for an in-person mandatory meeting (required documents deadline).

Independence Building Trip New York City Travel Dates: June 14-21, 2024 Travel with a Girl Scouts of Central Indiana staff member and volunteer chaperone team by selling 2000+ packages OR earn half in the fall by Oct. 7 and selling 1000+ packages in the cookie program. Join councils staff members on a trip to New York City! On this trip, your Girl Scout can look forward to activities such as: flying Southwest, Times Square, Coney Island, Broadway shows, and 9-11 Memorial. Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 18, at 2:30p.m. for an in-person mandatory meeting (required documents deadline).

Independence Plus Trip Costa Rica

Dates to Hold: June 30-July 10, 2024* A passport valid for 6 months past the date of travel is required to attend. Travel with a Girl Scouts of Central Indiana staff member and EFTours by selling 4000+ packages in the cookie program. Girl Scout must be entering 9th grade or older. Your Girl Scout can look forward to activities such as: flying to Costa Rica with staff leads and other EFTour attendees, Arenal Volcano National Park, kayaking, waterfalls, and rain forests. Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 18, at 4:00p.m. for an in-person mandatory meeting (required documents deadline). *Final dates of travel announced by end of March 2024

What are the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana program travel opportunities?

Savannah, GA Birthplace of Girl Scouts Savannah, GA - Birthplace of Girl Scouts Travel Dates: July 8-11, 2024 Troops will take a special trip to Savannah, GA, to learn about Girl Scout Founder Juliette Gordon Low. Girls will visit the Girl Scouts’ First Headquarters and Juliette Gordon Low’s Birthplace—all while you experience the beauty of Savannah. You’ll be immersed in southern hospitality and marvel at the exquisite architecture and charming old mansions and Victorian homes. Get more information and to reserve your spot! How to opt for this reward: To opt for this reward, you will need to opt-out of all below 2000+ rewards. As you earn these rewards toward your Destination Trip, staff will keep account of the money earned and send money straight to the council hosting the trip. You DO NOT need to be approved for a trip to earn this reward – you may hold money over from year to year until you have been accepted for a Girl Scouts of the USA Destinations Trip.

How do you earn this trip? For every 500 packages you sell you will earn a $400 council credit for Destinations Trips.

The Me & My Girl Scout trip will allow you to bring your own chaperone, meet some of our independence building trip chaperones, and get a taste for travel!
