How to Register On-Line Registration 1. In order to register through On-line registration, you will need a main contact client number, a family PIN number and a credit card. 2. If you do not have a main contact client number and a family PIN number, please call (480) 503-6200. 3. Visit www.GilbertRecreation.com to register On-line. Payments can be made with a Visa, Master Card or American Express. Touch-Tone Registration 1. If you do not have a main contact client number, individual client numbers and a family PIN, please call (480) 503-6200. 2. After calling Touch-Tone registration, (480) 503-6225, follow the recorded prompts to register for your selected classes. 3. Your registration is not complete until you enter your credit card information for payment. Payments should be made with a Visa, Master Card or American Express.

Mail-In Registration After selecting the classes you wish to register for, then: • Complete the registration form on line. • Only one person per registration form. Forms may be photocopied. • Enter the class code along with other required information, i.e. name of class. • Be sure to sign the assumption of risk waiver in ink. • Registration fees must be submitted with registration form. • Your registration form is an application; it does not assure placement in a class. • If your class choices are full, you will be placed on a wait list for that class. The traverse wall is a way to stay active while having fun. Watch the smile on your child’s face grow as they race across the 8’x 36’ traverse wall. Staff will provide supervised climbing opportunities/activities while rock-like features and multiple climbing routes add climbing challenges. Also, this wall isn’t just for kids! It’s for anyone with the desire to have fun. No age restrictions but those under 12 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. Weight capacity is 500lbs. Sneakers must be worn and a traverse wall waiver must be filled out prior to climbing. For more information, contact the McQueen Park Activity Center at (480) 503-6294. The Gilbert Community Services Department offers a Youth Ball Program to all boys & girls who are interested in playing the game of softball, baseball or T-ball for the fun of the sport. This is an instructional recreation program that emphasizes fun, skill development, and team unity. The season runs April 4/2-5/10. For more information 480-503-6200

Scholarship Program A scholarship program is available to help economically disadvantaged children. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship for your child(ren), please call the Gilbert CAP office at (480) 892-5331. They are located at Page Park Center, 132 N. Bruce Street.

Class Guidelines • For your child's safety, children must be accompanied into the facility as well as to and from the classroom. • Participants should dress appropriately according to the type of class they are registered for. Tights/leotards and or loose clothing is recommended for dance/movement classes. Closed-toe shoes are a must for all classes. • Parents of children wearing diapers or pull-ups must remain in the facility during their child's class. • Parent/Tot classes-Parents do not need to register, but do need to be present in the classroom. Only registered children are allowed in the classroom. • Only registered participants may remain in the classroom once class has started. Parents, family members and friends are asked to wait outside the classroom quietly while class is in session. If a participant is in need of a caregiver to remain in the classroom during class hours, prior approval must be obtained by the program coordinator before registration. • A participant will be allowed to register for a class as long as the participant reaches the required age anytime during the session, unless otherwise stated in the class description. • Photos & Videos of Participants: The Town of Gilbert often takes pictures of participants in our programs. Some of these photos may be used for advertising in our publications and or other types of advertising. By registering you are granting permission to the Town of Gilbert to utilize these photos/videos as marketing and promotional material. • Please Note: Class Instructor names are subject to change from what is published. **HORSEBACK RIDING-PARENT/TOT** Parents and children will be taught basic safety around horses with brushing and petting time included. Parents are taught how to lead the horse, while the children learn to ride a horse. Together you will learn how to walk, stop, and turn the horse. Teacher to student ratio is 1/4. Participants must be able to follow simple direction, and maintain balance and coordination while riding the horse. This class is not designed as a therapeutic recreation course. Children are encouraged to explore the world of movement using mats and balance beams to build strength, balance and coordination. Children and parents participate in sports, creative games, songs, rhymes, stories, bubble time and much more. DEEP SEA EXPLORERS Take a journey with us and sail the depths of the deep, blue sea! Join us as we read about the creatures big and small that live beneath the sea such as whales, dolphins, sharks, starfish, crabs and seahorses! KALEIDOSCOPE KIDS Challenge your student to experience an array of preschool activities. Join us on an adventure of colors, shapes, letters and numbers to build basic skills in preparation for kindergarten. Activities include learning centers, arts and crafts, music and physical activity. Special theme days will be included to enhance learning. Gymnastics HEAD OVER HEELS GYMNASTICS This class is geared towards the young gymnast that would like to learn basic floor gymnastics such as forward & straddle rolls and how to walk on a balance beam. They will also practice skills to accomplish headstands, beginner cartwheels and arching. Kids will work on gross motor skills such as balance, coordination and flexibility. LEARN TO PLAY GOLF Basics, Basics, Basics is the model of this golf class for youngsters. They will be given instruction on all of the pre-shot fundamentals; grip, aim, stance and posture. TRAVERSE WALL

The traverse wall is a way to stay active while having fun. Watch the smile on your child’s face grow as they race across the 8’x 36’ traverse wall. Staff will provide supervised climbing opportunities/activities while rock-like features and multiple climbing routes add climbing challenges. Also, this wall isn’t just for kids! It’s for anyone with the desire to have fun. No age restrictions but those under 12 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. Weight capacity is 500lbs. Come and join the East Valley’s most exciting and energetic program of Adult Sports Leagues. Join over 48 Adult Men’s Basketball Teams. Register your team for one of our many divisions.
