The Town of Gilbert developed the Neighbor 2 Neighbor Program to provide an easy way for Gilbert residents to help one another. 100% of funds donated are distributed to non-profit agencies that provide assistance to Gilbert’s low-income families, individuals, disabled, seniors and at-risk youth. Gilbert residents can sign up to include a donation amount from $2.00 to $20.00 a month included with their utility bill. One time donations can also be made. The Hershey National Track & Field Youth Program promotes physical fitness and encourages participation for the youth of America.

The Town of Gilbert Parks and Recreation Department is proud to host a local Hershey’s Track and Field Meet for boys and girls ages 7-14 year old. (Based on participants age as of December 31, 2013)

Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 9am Location: Williams Field High School 2076 S. Higley Rd. Gilbert, 85295 COST: $5 per event (maximum 3 events) Each participant receives a t-shirt and a participation certificate. Boys and Girls compete separately in 4 different age groups. 7-8 years, 9-10 years, 11-12 years, 13-14 years

Brain Time is a fun, interactive setting where parent/caregiver and child are learning together. Dads can have a direct hand in their youngster's development learning important introductory physical skills associated with hockey, soccer, tennis, baseball, basketball, volleyball, golf and football. HEAD OVER HEELS GYMNASTICS This class is geared towards the young gymnast that would like to learn basic floor gymnastics such as forward & straddle rolls and how to walk on a balance beam. They will also practice skills to accomplish headstands, beginner cartwheels and arching. Kids will work on gross motor skills such as balance, coordination and flexibility. ARCHERY CAMP

Acrogymnastics is a totally disciplined body sport which combines the grace and beauty of gymnastics with the excitement of acrobatic skills which include lifts, tumbling and dance. Focus is on technique, floor work and spotting. Moves are broken down making them faster and easier to learn. Gymnastic related crafts and other fun activities will be incorporated and showcased on the last day of camp. Active wear and comfortable shoes (tennis or dance shoes) are required. Bring a water bottle and energy snacks for breaks.

Come out and enjoy archery activities. Competitions and games will be mixed in with learning proper shooting techniques. ACT UP! CAMP PRESENTS BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Camp activities include a talent show, painting sets and a dress rehearsal with a performance on Friday! The camp is designed for the beginning actor to experience the thrill of being on stage, being challenged with memorizing lines, remembering when to move and where to go. Participants will learn to be part of a theater team, to learn basic fundamentals of theater and acting, and learn the basics about sets, costumes, makeup, and stage directions. The final stage is a production of their play for family and friends on the final day of the class. Kodu game lab happens inside the Game Truck and is designed to be accessible for children and enjoyable for everyone. Students can learn about cooperation, logic and creativity, not just about programming. Kodu demonstrates that programming is a creative medium and is a rich tool for narrative creation and storytelling as users create stories. SPANISH-TECH CAMP Spanish-Tech Camp is a Spanish full immersion camp and Summer Tech Camp! For those looking to apply some focus to their child’s fundamental skills, a number of sport-specific Sportball programs are available. Certified Sportball coaches further develop key skills for a chosen sport. Skills are developed in a confidence-building, non-competitive atmosphere. Coaches for all classes are trained athletes who have a passion for sharing their love of sports. Sportball provides all equipment.

The Sportball floor hockey program is non-competitive and provides children with the basic elements of the game of hockey with the help of experienced coaches. Come and join the East Valley’s most exciting and energetic program of Adult Sports Leagues. Join over 56 Adult Men’s Basketball Teams. Register your team for one of our many divisions. If you don't have a team, feel free to sign-up on the unattached player’s list on the website. Team managers refer to this list for new players to add to their team. You can create your own team with the list. Divisions are determined by skill level and playing experience. Rarely intended as art, the results are often distinctive, reflecting spiritual beliefs and historic cultural values once prevalent in the region. Celebrated photographer Dick George presents original research and photographs made throughout the American Southwest.
