3F: Fit, Form, Function The 3F design philosophy, which stands for “Fit, Form, Function,” keeps Liv/giant engineers and designers focused on three key characteristics in every bike.
FIT
Liv/giant bikes are designed specifically for the unique ergonomic needs of women. Custom designs are implemented for bike frames, components and apparel. Examples include frame geometry, specially designed saddles, handlebars and other components and women’sspecific apparel.
FORM
While our engineers determine the key factors of a bike’s performance - frame material, geometry, integration - it’s the designers’ job to boost those less tangible qualities that give it appeal. We aim for beautifully crafted, organic lines and shapes and stylish colours and graphics.
FUNCTION
Every Liv/giant bike is designed to serve the unique needs of women riders for a particular purpose. Performance bikes are developed using feedback from professional racers. Sport bikes are tuned to make every ride zippy yet comfortable and lifestyle bikes have integrated features such as fenders and racks.
