AWARD RECIPIENTS: REV. JOSEPH OSEI-AMOAH - GOSPEL Graduated with Diploma in Bible and Theology from Southern Ghana Bible Institute, Ghana in 1967, Rev. Osei-Amoah served as Pioneer Pastor of Ebenezer Assembly of God Church, Accra, Ghana from1967to 1974. He later graduated with B.A. in Bible and Theology from Southwestern Assemblies of God College, Waxahachie, Texas in 1976 and earned M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas in 1979. He served as Pioneer Pastor of Tema Christian Centre (Assemblies of God church) and briefly taught at Southern Ghana Bible Institute, Saltpond, Ghana and served as General Treasurer and briefly as General Secretary of the Executive Presbytery of the Assemblies of God, Ghana. (1983-1995). Since his transfer to Canada has served as Senior Pastor of Assemblies of God (Ghana) Church, Toronto; Liberty Assembly God Church, and is currently serving as Senior Pastor of Living Word Assembly of God church, Toronto, Canada. He is the Chairman of the Fellowship of Ghana Assemblies of God churches in Canada. LUCY CRENTSIL - GOSPEL MUSIC Lucy migrated to Canada in 1990 and started singing in Church at a very young age. She joined the Feden praise and worship team at age 14. Quit singing for a while but was persuaded by friends to go back to singing because they believed she hada beautiful voice. In 2007, Lucy composed the Ghanaian News 10th Year Anniversary Theme song. She was also the composer of a song for NPP Presidential candidate nana Akufo Addo when he visited Canada in June 2008. Lucy's first album Adom No Nti was launched in 2007 and Jesus the Living Waters in 2009. She has served as a judge for Miss Ghana 2008.

JONATHAN NII ANANG SOWAH TECHNICAL INNOVATION Dr. Jonathan NiiAnang Sowah trained as a Film & TV Director at the National Film & TV Institute. He was once featured in a documentary by the then ZDF (now Deutche Welle TV of Germany) as one of two rising legends of African directors. He directed over 105 TV and radio commercials on behalf of the Ghana Electoral Commission for the Registration of Voters, Exhibition and Election public education for the 1996 elections. His contributions to the media sector in Ghana included being one of the instrumental players in the setting up of Metro TV. As a director he worked with networks like TV5 of France. Still in Europe, he pursued a Masters program in Media Management and then a Ph.D in Communications Strategy. His other life achievements include being a consultant to the US Government wing called IFES that collaborates with electoral commissions around the world conducting elections sponsored by the US Government. He and his family moved to Canada in 2008 and he spearheaded the establishment of Aon Communications (Canada) and later in collaboration with a team, he championed the merger of Aon Communications (Canada) Inc & AstraQom Corp ( a Quebec company providing unique telecom services to rural Quebec). This merger led to the creation ofAstraQom Corporation based in Ottawa.AstraQom provides innovative telephony services to small & medium size businesses in close to sixty countries. SAMMY ANSAH - GOSPEL MUSIC Samuel Ansah (Sammy) moved to Canada in the year 2000. He began writing songs at a very early age before moving to Canada. He joined the Assemblies God Church in Toronto and immediately became a member of the praises and worship team under the service of Rev. Milton Offei. Sammy has been providing community services through inter church activities. In 2004, he releases a gospel music album "Efiri Awurade Anaa?"(Is it from God?) He is an active member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and holds a valid license to provide legal service in Ontario. He has recently set up a firm named "SAY Legal Services Professional Corporation" to provide legal services to needy community members.
