Georgia scored nine times by nine different players as it defeated the New Mexico State Aggies 63-16 on Homecoming in front of a sellout crowd of 92,746 inside Sanford Stadium and in front of a CSS-televised audience on Saturday afternoon. Georgia extended its winning streak to seven games, improving to 7-2 in 2011. New Mexico St. dropped to 3-6. Aaron Murray led the team in passing, completing 18-of-23 passes for 238 yards and threw a career-best five touchdown passes in just a half of play. The five passes thrown in the first half also tied for the most scoring passes thrown in a half. Hutson Mason finished with 131 yards on 8-of-10 passing. Brandon Harton led the rushing attack with 15 carries for 98 yards, while Chris Conley went foNMSh the air. Branden Smith went 56 yards to the New Mexico State end zone at the 7:17 mark in the first quarter to put Georgia on the board. Harton put up another Georgia TD that extended the Bulldog lead to 14-3. The drive included a 33-yard kickoff return and a 27-yard rush by Harton. Michael Bennett added an 11-yard TD catch on Georgia’s next possession before Murray, Harton and Kyle Karempelis combined for 66 yards on the ground to set up the TD grab. Brandon Boykin scored his second offensive TD of the season (first receiving score) on a 42-yard pass from Murray with 6:27 left in the first half. The Bulldogs added 14 points in 32 seconds that made it 42-3 with just over two minutes left in the first half. The first TD came as Murray found Conley streaking down the sideline for a 47-yard TD. Bacarri Rambo then picked off Christian and returned it 55 yards to set up a 19-yard scoring pass from Murray to Orson Charles. Aron White helped Georgia tie a school-record five TD passes in a first half when he hauled in a six-yard TD from Murray that sent the Bulldogs into the half leading 49-3. Mason led the Bulldogs on a 10-play, 93-yard drive that resulted in a Karempelis TD that made it a 56-3 game. The drive was highlighted by a 46-yard completion by Conley that brought UGA across midfield. Rhett McGowan scored his first career TD on a 23-yard TD pass after Jeremy Sulek recovered a fumble in NMSU territory. The TD, which made it a 63-16 game, marked the first time Georgia has scored 60 or more points since it scored 62 against Kentucky in 2004. It was also the most points scored since 1994. The 14th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs handed the No. 24 Auburn Tigers a 45-7 defeat in front of 92,746 fans and a nationally televised audience on Saturday evening. The win extended Georgia’s win streak to eight games and improved its record to 8-2 and 6-1 in the Southeastern Conference. Auburn dropped to 6-4 overall and 4-3 in league play. Aaron Murray led the passing attack, completing 14-of-18 passes for 224 yards and four TDs to four different receivers. Carlton Thomas eclipsed the century mark for the first time in his career, running for 127 yards as freshman Isaiah Crowell finished with 132 yards on 24 carries. Fellow true freshman Malcolm Mitchell pulled in three catches for 85 yards and a touchdown, while Alec Ogletree led the team defensively with six tackles, including two for a loss. Jarvis Jones finished with two sacks. Georgia got off to a quick start, jumping out to a 7-0 lead on an eight-yard TD pass from Murray to Tavarres King. Auburn answered on the next drive as Philip Lutzenkirchen scored on a pass from wide receiver C.J. Uzomah that tied the game at seven with 6:13 left in the first half. The Bulldogs regained a seven-point lead at 14-7 on a six play, 77-yard drive that culminated in a 27-yard over-the-shoulder TD reception by Michael Bennett. Murray became the all-time leader in TD passes in a season with 10:36 left in the first half when he completed a 15-yard pass to Bruce Figgins that made it a 21-7 game following the point after by Walsh. Bacarri Rambo followed with an interception return for a TD that put Georgia up 28-7 with 9:41 left in the half. Georgia added its fifth TD of the game after a five-play, 70-yard drive that took 3:00 off the clock. Mitchell came back to make a catch then raced into the end zone for 25 yards that made it a 34-7 game. Walsh added the extra point to extend the Georgia lead 35-7. On its opening possession in the third quarter, the Bulldogs marched 73 yards down the field before Brandon Bogotay booted a 23-yard field goal, the first made field goal of his career, that put the Bulldogs on top 38-7.
