I couldn’t bear to eat another slice of Chacuetterrie (processed meats anyone?) or risk ordering Rognon (raw veal kidneys) or andouillette (nasty little sausages stuffed with the entrails of some kind of livestock) in error and the thought of foraging for a simple bottle of water while marching through the streets on a close ninety plus September day again was more than I could bear. I wanted a nice strong steamy shower rather than a tepid bath. I missed my pup and was anxious to get back to my studio and the drawing board. And yet – here I was, feeling down and disconnected.
