The Green Network vision will be realised through a range of informed decisions about developments, regeneration and wider land-use over the coming decades. Our Green Network Indicator has been created to assist planners, developers and land managers in the preparation of their plans and work programmes to ensure positive contributions to the delivery of a functional, connected Green Network.

The Green Network Indicator uses spatial analysis to assess the connectivity of the Green Network’s fundamental components: • access networks: analysis quantifies how connected people are to open space and how connected the spaces are to each other

We have developed an Indicator for Renfrewshire’s Single Outcome Agreement.
The GCV Green Network Partnership will:
It is based on a formula which measures the relationships between the current Green Network and a future ‘ideal’ for both access and habitat.
• promote the uptake and use of the Indicator for Single Outcome Agreements • develop and test the use of the Indicator as a decision support tool at a range of scales
This relationship is expressed as a baseline index against which future delivery will be measured. The Indicator can also be used to assess the impact of development and land-use change on the Green Network.
