The search is on for fresh faces and talented girls to fill our 2013 design team. –––––––– what we're looking for –––––––– • A total of 13 motivated, new team members – Altered Item Gals, Card Gals, and Layout Gals. We find great joy in new talent! Please keep in mind that we are reserving 3 spots for "new, up-and-coming crafters". These spots will be reserved for unpublished gals and taught the ropes of the publishing world. (U.S. Applications only) • A clean, well-presented style of Artsy, Shabby, Simple, Modern, Whimsy, and much more. • Great photography skills (True colors, no sunspots or shadows, etc.) • You've got to love the product! This is super important! Each month the DT Gals will be asked to create 3 items from our 9 beautiful, new collections from this Winter's CHA '13. • Bring your personality to the team. We love drama-free, fun, and outgoing gals. • Ability to work fast, if needed. Around CHA show times we might need extra work done and working fast is a plus. • Assignments turned in on time. • Scrapbooking is all about being creative, capturing memories, and having fun! When it comes to our design team, we feel that our members should do just that…"Be Creative, capture memories, and HAVE FUN"!

ello everyone, my name is Nina Yang. I was a "Fresh Face" newbie for the Card Girl team last year and have learned a lot about designing, crafting, and
getting published during the term. From last March to January this year, I had 40+ projects picked up for publications. I loved that the assignments were given to us very early and we could pick our own assignments. Heidi is amazing in predicting trends and letting us work ahead in front of the wave. Keeping Valentine's Day in mind, we created this delightful little clipboard covered in scrapbook supplies and yarn. Why a clipboard? They have been popping up all over Pinterest and while searching for inspiration I came across this photo. Not only do they help you stay organized, but the look of them all clustered together on a wall is to die for. The color pink is everywhere and to give it a twist we used a bright neon pink, orange and gray. Adding a touch a wood here and there, completes the look with texture. So the next time you pull colors for Valentine's Day, try something bright and fresh like this.
