Book Tokens... Years 7-11 students will receive a £1 Book Token during registration on Thursday 5th March (ask your form tutor for yours if you were absent). You can swap your Token for one of the TEN £1 World Book Day books available at most book shops...

You can also use the token as part payment for any item in the March Teen Book Club leaflet available in the library. Tokens can be used up to and including Sunday 29th March 2015 (or Friday 17th April if you’re ordering from the March Teen Book Club leaflet in the library).

National Book Token Competition... National Book Tokens are holding a competition to design a new book token. A panel of judges will select a winner and runner-up in in three age categories: up to 8 years, 9–12 years, 13–16 years. FIRST PRIZE in each age range is: - £250 National Book Tokens for the school - £100 National Book Tokens for you - £100 National Book Tokens for the teacher RUNNER-UP PRIZE in each age range is: - £150 National Book Tokens for the school - £50 National Book Tokens for you - £50 National Book Tokens for the teacher Winners will be announced in the summer.
HOW TO ENTER Use one of the official competition sheets to enter download a template or pick one up from the library. Your entry must be signed by a member of staff who needs to print your full name and age, school name, address and phone number in capitals on the reverse of your entry. The closing date for entries is Friday 17th April make sure that you hand your entry to the library by Tuesday 14th April if you would like us to post it for you!
