OCTOBER IS FOOD MONTH ON THE WELLNESS WHEEL

Food is fuel for your body. Nevertheless, there are foods we enjoy more than others. The key is to balance what you eat. There are no bad foods, just incorrect portions. Your hand is a simple tool to gauge what fuel you are you putting your body. WATER WALKING Tuesday & Thursday | 10am | Pool

Join us for 30 minutes of walking forward, backwards, sideways and more. Like all water exercises, water walking is easy on the joints. “The water’s buoyancy supports the body’s weight, which reduces stress on the joints and minimizes pain,” says the Arthritis Foundation “And it’s still a great workout. Water provides 12 times the resistance of air, so as you walk, you’re really strengthening and building muscle.” You do not bear weight while swimming and walking, however, so you will still need to add some bone-building workouts to your routine.
