Gamercize and Children’s Preferences
Project
Observe the free choice of 7-11 year olds between exergaming and exercise to evaluate the engagement of physical activity interventions. A games station, a Gamercize station and an exercise station were all available for the children to “free play”. The session was recorded and the video analysed after the 90 minuet event.

Outcome
Gamercize showed six times more engaging than exercise station. The non-interactive exercise was the least popular activity and the Gamercize station was the most popular.

Gamercize and Children’s Enjoyment
Project
Using kid-friendly emoticons as a scale ask school children if they enjoyed Gamercize as a PE Class by putting a tick on a whiteboard after playing. The children played socially together using Gamercize and popular video games for 30 minutes before recording their post-activity feedback.

95% Of 130 children enjoyed Gamercize in PE placing a tick under the :) emoticon.

Gamercize vs Other interactive games
Project
Compare the difference in experience of exergames by giving children 10 mins on each exergame and asking them to choose a favourite. Every child played on each Exergame in the school trial, then the children were given sticker stars to place on boards next to the equipment they enjoyed the most and the stars were counted at the end of the day.

Outcome
Gamercize was chosen by a factor of two to one over the over the next best Exergame. Gamercize was subsequently chosen as the sole Exergame for the school district.

Gamercize and PA Adherence
Project
Post-intervention interviews on 11-12 year old attitudes to physical activity. Children were given the opportunity to use Gamercize in the setting of evaluating and demonstrating physical activity. The children then completed a survey to find out what their attitudes to physical activity and Gamercize were.

Gamercize and Screen Time

What are the fitness benefits of using Gamercize PCSport under desk stepper over 12 weeks, self-study. Gamercize was used for one hour per day for five days a week by a 21 year old sports student to determine if the cumulative effect of such exercise could provide any health benefits.

Comparison of physical activity levels in children between Recess activity and Gamercize activity A replicate of a similar study using Wii which proved a failure, this study too Gamercize instead and compared the PA levels over a six week period between interactive play and Gamercize play for school children.
