Some of them we will try to implement in the future. Also you will find the answers to questions addressed to general director, which are placed in the corresponding section. Feedback coupons will be published in every issue, that will allow you to give us your opinion at every moment. There is a new section called “Brainstorm”. The most active participants of the project will be awarded with pleasant surprises. During these frosty days we want to congratulate you warmly with the holidays! Dear friends! The year 2012 has finished. This year was very important to us. Many events of the year would stay in our memory forever as the most important. In February Toyota Center “Autowind” had received bronze TSM certificate, in May Toyota Center “Avtogals” had received honorable quality award “Ichiban”, and in September our mechanics proved indisputable leadership in Toyota National Skill Contest, where practically all prize places had been taken by participants from the group of our companies – all those events became highly important stages of our history. I want to say thank you to each of you for your work and its results. To say: - Thank you for unity, trust and confidence. Nor less important had been our inner projects, where there were many breaks though. It is very pleasant that your efforts in organization of “Week end with Toyota” gave real joy and many smiles to kids. It is also delighting that “The best salesman” project opened new possibilities to perfection and gave clear understanding that it was too early to stop with what we have achieved.

I am certain that many of us with child`s sincerity are awaiting luck and success from the coming new year. But at the same time we have to understand the main thing: “God does not save us without our will”. That is why, from one side, everything is in hands of God, but from the other side – we have to “buy a ticket” at least! We have to learn that there are things happening on God`s will, and there are things that depend directly from us. So, if something happens not the way we want (for example, crisis, illnesses), we have to accept it calmly. But we have to take efforts in those fields of life where we can approve ourselves. Here our common success will depend from our energy and hard work, from our unity and responsibility, from everyone`s aspiration to perform his work in the best way. This year is already meeting us with serious challenges – taking victory once, it is very hard to hold and prove it constantly. All together, as one united team we will be able to move forward, realize our dreams, change life around us. I wish you not to be disappointed ever, not to be in despair, but with pains and patience move forward. I wish you health, love and piece in relations with people surrounding you, and then, as we see, all your kind wishes and intentions will be realized.

Achievements G.I. Andrey, please, tell us, how you were getting ready for the trip to Japan? A.T. I was working without weekends, to be of service to my company. On departure day I went to the trading center and bought the most elegant costume and a suitcase, and also passed a couple of extern credits at the University. Then I came home and watched a video in YouTube how to pack a suitcase, so everything could be fitted in smoothly. So I packed things, got dressed and departed. G.I. Andrey, please, share with us your impression from the Country itself. A.T. The first and constantly positive impression was tidiness, technological effectiveness, reasonability of the place; laconism and politeness of people. Probably – these are national qualities and high cultural level peculiar to Japanese people. Of course, most of all I was impressed with the sizes of Tokyo, seen in a night lights from 50-th floor of “Sumitomo Corporation” head office, and also from Japanese TV aerial.

G.I. Tell us in brief about trip organization and staying in Japan. A.T. Flight and transfer were organized on a high level. We lived in Nagoya city. Toyota events and excursions took place in the city with the same name Toyota. Staying in the hotels, different trips were so much comfortable that all we could do was just relax and enjoy. The most important was not to get lost. G.I. What sights have you seen in Japanese cities? A.T. The excursion program was very interesting. It concerned historical places and Toyota Company as well. We have visited Kyoto city, the former capital of Japan, where from IX to XIX centuries the residences of Emperor Family have been located. There we have visited the residence of feudal lord with a beautiful garden implemented in a national Japanese style, and we have participated in traditional tea ceremony. I liked oceanariums in Nagoya and Tokyo – they were better than in Sevastopol; the trips in Shinkansen were really thrilling. Also I have to mention the excursions along a huge harbor of Tokyo, a beau-
tiful park next to the Emperor palace; very close to it skyscrapers and old houses were situated. A huge supermarket of modern electronics have caught our imagination, and also the luxury of trading center in Ginza district in Tokyo, where everything was very expensive of cource. The most impressing were the sizes of Toyota city, its plants, areas, ports. From all the excursions I was mostly fascinated by Toyota museum in the building of first manufacture. Interactive expositions of car manufacture on the stages starting from metal melting up to car assembling and testing. Those expositions were operated from the push of button and completely involved us in a process. Some parts became visual aids to my course and test papers of this semester, I gave special attention to them (it is hardly possible to see such things in Ukraine). There was constructed a House of the future with “green” technologies, it emphasized how Japanese people, and Toyota company in particular care about the environment. G.I. What about Japanese food, so popular today in our country?
A.T. in general Japanese food is very nice – healthy, fresh and light. Japanese people eat many of small things in small portions. I tasted delicious spaghetti with different souses, vegetables, sea food. I did not like soups, they were not compared to borsch, and green tea was not very tasty. By the way, local sweets were not sweet at all. As to sushi I may say that I did not see rolls, for example. Mostly very fresh sea food with rice had been served. I want to say, that during the whole stay in Japan I never had any problems with digestion. G.I. How did you like Japanese highways, drivers. Were there many Toyota cars? A.T. Drivers of Japan are role models, cultural and polite; they keep to the rules of traffic. The highways are to be paid for and they are in a very good condition. They are very clean, though no one washes them. No one knows the secret and who keeps such cleanness. Toyota cars are in absolute majority – but they are of different model range, considering that the models we call Lexus are called Toyota in Japan.

G.I. Can you describe typical character of your mechanic colleague of Toyota in Japan? A.T. Well, to my mind, this is an image of amazingly calm, accurate, scrupulous specialist. But he can joke (on unfamiliar language for us) in its free time. The example for me became mechanics from one small service station in Tokyo. It was located very close to a tuning shop, were we have been taken by curators from “Sumitomo�. Especially I was surprised by the relations between office workers and mechanics. Consultants in very low bows expressed their respect to mechanics. Later we were told that a consultant was an ordinary office worker, there were a lot of those, but it took years to become a professional mechanic. Exactly those specialists were the most important parts of Toyota Company as one of the Corporations holding Country`s economy. 8
G.I. What positive experience have you got from visiting the country and Toyota enterprise in particular? A.T. My visit to that modern and devoted to its traditions country pushed me to a serious reevaluation of my values: inhabitants of that long suffering state live in a not friendly to people region. Huge over population and a lot of other problems are hanging over them. But Japanese people are firmly bearing attacks, do not panic, fall into depression, they work hard with full devotion to country and family. Their zest for life, optimism and dedication to work in many ways have strengthened my moral spirit, became basic in my visions. Also it was very pleasant that my name was printed on stele of fame in Toyota center together with thousands of names of other International Assembly participants for its more than 20 years history. By the way, I have received a small copy of this stele during the
Award Ceremony from the hands of vice president of Toyota Company Shinichi Sasaki. G.I. Andrey, you can not participate in this Contest again, but you may have other professional plans, will you share them with us? A.T. Certainly, participation in the Contest and visit to highly developed country have changed my attitude to many things. Of course, I want to continue to implement high targets and plans of Toyota, but publicity attracts (smiles). To be serious – as a minimum, I plan to finish education on “Vehicle fleet” speciality. “GalsInform” editors thank our champion Andrey Taranov for his interesting interview. We are very glad that in our country, in spite of little experience of conducting Toyota National Skill Contest (just three times), service specialists from the group of our companies take prize places for the second year in a row. We hope to congratulate mechanics from our Dealership centers next year with new victories. By the way, next year it will be Andrey Boyko`s turn to share his impressions from visiting Japan. “DonLex” – “The best advertiser of the year” On 20th of December of the previous year, Tennis Club “VicCourt” has been holding traditional, 9th solemn ceremony “The Acknowledgement of the year - 2012“. This special event sums up the results of the year, marks the most significant events in the life of Tennis Club, sportsmen and partners. Title sportsmen of Ukraine and Russia, actors, artists and composers have been invited to this event. Cortege of Lexus model range was meeting guests, and till the Ceremony began everyone could test drive any Lexus car. The atmosphere was really light, guests could also enjoy the exhibition of paintings of Tatyana Ponomarenko-Leverash, it was dedicated to our city and to people living here. “Leysya pesnya” band filled the air with pleasant music. Bright video from “DonLex” Company highlighting new model of 2012 – Lexus GS and it was a zest of the evening. The guests were fascinated by new possibilities of this sport sedan, and their hearts were beating faster with the idea of test driving this car. Alexeyevich had personally greeted the “VicCourt” and by his speech he opened the official part of the evening. This year “The Acknowledgement” award had 12 nominations. It is twice pleasant that this year official dealer Lexus in Donetsk has been awarded in the nomination “The best advertiser of the year”. In 2012 there have been held many tournaments of local and international significance on the courts of the club. And “DonLex” company supported tennis players during the whole year. General Director of “DonLex” company V.D. Gerelyuk has been awarded with the symbolic tennis racket. In his grateful speech he told about specially prepared surprise and invited everyone who wanted for a week of open doors, dedicated to a new model Lexus LS 460. The official part of ceremony gradually turned into more festive, and it had not simple but sport ending. The evening was closing fiery karaoke tournament. According to old kind tradition, in its friendly competition – friendship won!

Projects
The adventures in Toyota Land are going on Last year the group of our companies gave special joy to its little guests. Especially for children was organized a project “Week end with Toyota”. Very seriously and thoroughly our dealership centers were getting ready to launch the project. The collection of magnets with Toyota model range 2012 in a form of puzzle has been ordered in advance. Joyful albums for painting and many sweets have been ordered beforehand as well. Supplied with all those and good mood we launched the project. From March till December our dealership centers tried to turn one day in a month into a real holiday for kids. Every “Week end” new adventures, contests and heroes have been expecting our kids. During this year kids took part in Hawaiian parties, were acting as secret agents, pirates, shaolin in Japanese performances and of course fairy tale heroes under Christmas tree. Children who came to Toyota “Weekends” steadily could collect all Toyota puzzle, and on a New Year`s week end all children received special present magnets of Toyota GT 86. Besides happy smiles of our little guests, it was pleasant to observe a strong desire of the staff to give their personal contribution to kid`s event. Many centers showed a lot of creative approach. For example, during one of the weekends, “Autowind” company all together tried to bring the atmosphere of old Russian fairy tales. The employees have brought fairy attributes: spoons-forks, magic tablecloth. Director of Toyota Center “Autowind” provided old samovar for the holiday, mechanic of body and parts repair by his own hands created a decoration of real Russian oven. Sales department learnt a special dance which they performed together with kids at the holiday. “Azovmotor” colleagues could not be at the side. During one of the “Weekends” professional actors performed a special play teaching kids basic rules of traffic. Company`s staff acted in different roles – the inspectors of traffic police, traffic policemen and participants. 12
Crimean Toyota Centers also surprised with creative touch. They produced many decorations themselves and hostesses have been wearing costumes according to the theme of the “Weekend”. “Avtogals” was also not on the last stage with their performances. Children and their parents were delighted with different creative decorations. For hard efforts and creative ideas one of the Dealership centers has been awarded with prize. The nomination “The best Week end with Toyota 2012” has been given to Toyota Center “Autowind”. All the staff will be awarded with a “Magic crystal” of sky blue color symbolizing sun, childhood and dreams. “GalsInform” editors sincerely congratulate the leader and other centers which really tried hard to give our kids the moments of joy and happiness. “Week end” has not finished. This year sweets, adventures and good mood are already expecting little kids in Toyota Land. 13

Svyato-Uspenskaya Svyatogorskaya Lavra – Saint Places are very close Today we offer our readers to have a look at the island of spirituality, which is unique not just for our region but for the whole Ukraine in general. And the reason for it is obvious – 20 years from the reconstruction date of Svyatogorsk monastery, which was celebrated in September 2012. Svyato-Uspensky Svatogorsky monastery which in 2004 has got an honorable title of “Lavra” as many places of this kind in former USSR has a long history with many white and black lines. We will not dig deep into the history, as there are a lot of sources nowadays telling about it. We will just say that for more than 500 years of monastery history it had many tough moments, a lot of times it was ransacked and closed, its inhabitants were persecuted. And 20 years ago the monastery had been reborn; this fact can not leave us indifferent. A huge work has been done during two decades. Uspensky cathedral, monastery bell tower, Pokrovsky church – the ancient church of monastery in honor of Antony and Feodosy Pechersky, together with skete have been renewed. The brotherhood of this ancient skete under blessing of main bishop wear antique clothing, as was used in old times. The walls of old caves were fixed after long years of desolation. The symbol of orthodox Svyatogorsk – St. Nickolas church at the top of chalky cliff- has been reconstructed. A real masterpiece of wooden architecture can be
considered renewed All Siants skete with wooden church in honor of all Saints of our land. Not just architecture pleases our eyes and warms our soul in Svyatogorsk. The bridge across the river leading to the monastery so to say symbolizes the way to religious renaissance. First steps alone the bridge are already filling with joy and calmness which can be sensed just in Svyatogorye. If we are lucky enough to hear the chime of bells on our way, followed by blessed calmness – the strings we did not even know about stat playing in our soul. By the way, this place is worth visiting just for the chime of bells: five monastery bell towers count 54 bells; the biggest one weighs more than six tones. Moreover there is a wonderful choir in monastery. It is good to visit monastery at any period. During hot summer days people are met be a fountain with a marble cross in the center of it. It is hard to say what gives more refreshment - water running directly from the cross or unusual image of it giving the feeling of soul fly. Poultry yard with pheasants, peacocks and other colorful birds give real delight especially to little kids. There are also hares, rabbits, and raccoons. The renaissance of Svyato-Uspensky Svyatogorsky monastery opened one more place for spiritual work and place of soul rest for guests and local inhabitants. We talked to orthodox clergyman father Nikita Panasyuk, archpriest of 15

Father Nikita, what is this place given to us for? F.N. Any saint place is given to people to realize the meaning of our life, the reason we are living for, walk on this land. Such places make us think about the eternity. Many of us realize that the eternity starts right now exactly after visiting such saint places. This is the main meaning of the places where men of faith live. Any monastery – is a place where people are constantly praying and walk with God, it is a place where a pray is concentrated. And God blesses everyone who visits such a place as the answer to prays. G.I. Father Nikita, are there any rules how to be prepared to visit a monastery, so it would be of some spiritual help? F.N. I will give you a simple example. Bishop Feofan Zatvornik in his book “What is a spiritual life and how to tune to it” gives advices to his spiritual daughter about visiting Troitse-Sergiyev Lavra from Moscow. He advises to come first to Hotkov monastery where parents of Saint Sergy Radonezhsky Cyril and Mary are burred. He says not to talk much on the way, but to pray. Then this trip will be of great spiritual help. Nowadays modern people visit monasteries just to have an excursion about some beautiful place. But it is important to tune oneself correctly. In older days people walked to monasteries and this difficult route helped them to be prepared to meet the monastery. Now people come by cars. This easy way we can cover differently: instead of radio or music we can listen to sermons, prayings, singing of saint fathers. It would prepare us to the church pray and service. But it happens that people talking and listening to civil things, and when we come to monastery we simply have no time to tune ourselves. So it brings just esthetic pleasure rather than spiritual lesson. We have to 16
be prepared much more earlier before visiting a Saint place. G.I. Svyatogorsk has always been a rest place. Does it help or interfere with monastery life? F.N. It totally depends on people coming to Svyatogorsk. Some come especially to visit Lavra, others – to breath fresh air in the woods. In some way a resort character of the place interferes with monastery life. The main time for pray – at night, but when there is a loud music on the other bank of the river for half of the night, it is hard to pray indeed. Now the territory of monastery is exactly defined and there are fewer temptations in monastery. We
know that strict Cossacks watch the entrance of the monastery, and they literally make everyone follow the monastery rules. G.I. Civil people bring a piece of fuss to a monastery. Does it give negative influence to monks? F.N. Monks are warriors. Any orthodox person – is a warrior of Christ, monks are at the first line. They understand that temptations, the influence of outside world are inevitable, they will happen. With civil people such temptations come to the monastery. Father Zosima, the founder of the monastery in Nikolskoye village used to say: “Do not get stuck on temptations”. If a person feels his
spiritual fall down, he has to stand up, repent and live further, but try to live with God. Modern life teaches us that we have to win and be the first and the best. But Christianity teaches us to be able to lose, see our weak sides, and realize our mistakes. G.I. What has not been done during 20 years of Svyatogorsk Monastery reconstruction? F.N. Monastery people do not have plans. They live with the will of God and trust everything to God`s will. You know, from the time of fall of man, all the history of religious mankind – is coming back to God. Monks – are people walking this way. They, better than anyone else, understand that everything happens 17
Living spring on the will of God and we simply have to learn to accept it. And, as in our case: there is nothing today, but tomorrow - Svyatogorsk monastery is titled with honorable name “Lavra”, as a reward for its patience. Today, Svyatogorskaya Lavra has a huge influence in orthodox world. It is a spiritual compass, lantern illuminating far away and exact road. There are three lanterns with a title of “Lavra” in Ukraine. But people who live and work there do not mind the titles; they care that the light of their lanterns would not die. As Ioann Lestvichnik said, - “Angels – are the light for monks, but monks – are the light for civil people”. New Year is opened by the Birth of Christ, and then we have Svyatki, and Epiphany holiday. During these holy days, wonderful church services are conducted in the Svyatogorsk monastery. The Church is decorated with fluffy fir trees, bright garlands; the air in church is filled with unforgettable aroma of frankincence and fir. The solemn crib of Christ Birth leaves indifferent neither kids nor adults. The Monastery is known far away outside the borders of Donetsk region. It is impossible not to fall in love with this place from the first sight. That is why people who have visited this place once want to come back again and again.

V.D. The main events, to my mind, have become – winning “Ichiban” nomination by “Avtogals”, bronze TSM certificate by “Autowind” and triumph 19

It says that we move in the right direction, and our efforts are worth respecting. The hard work of each of us is estimated, and I am proud of it. 2. Such a tense rhythm of life, responsibility demand much energy and full commitment. How is it possible for you to combine business and education of three kids? V.D. It is true, I spent little time with my children. Classic genre – it is basic in the philosophy of our family. Husband – is the head of the family and he is responsible as to direction where the family moves, way the family lives. Wife – is responsible for the education of children. Such background has already formed in our family. Till that time conflicts happened. The question is inside ourselves, in the way we look at things. As Holy Bible says: “Do not be jealous to a person moving his way, and doing wrong things”. It means that in life people do a lot of wrong things in front of face of God. But everything has its time, even understanding of certain things of life. For example, it is silly to be offended with green apple for it is still green. It is on its way to be ripe, that is why it is said – do not be jealous. We have to be able to have patience and not to get stuck with conflicts. It is important to realize how much you can and must dedicate to your family, as the head of it. And family has to accept it with understanding. But love – is the most important thing. Without love it is impossible to forgive your other half being not perfect. Kids’ education, relations in the family – everything should be performed with love. For example, my wife is not in a mood, there is no problem, I can wash the dishes. Everything is very flexible and vivid. 3. Do you plan to finish career and move to some far island to rest, may be in the long term future? V.D. The conception of having rest somewhere at the seventh heaven is not coinciding with my inner world. I have no right for this. Because work 20
– does not mean earning a lot of money and then living happily somewhere on the island. Such conception is life`s utopia. Work – is obedience, it is a commandment of all people to Christ: “you will earn bread by your sweat…”. For example, if a person has got much money, it does not mean that he has to stop working and getting more perfect. God is Creator, and man is created according to God`s image, so we have to create as God, everyone at his own place. But I think one day it will be time to give way to more younger and energetic people. 4. Would you like to change something in your employees? Any wishes as to it? V.D. What is good now belongs to the category “it was yesterday”. When I first won the Windsurfing Champion Cup of Ukraine, the next morning my coach came to me and said: “Son, it was yesterday. Forget about it. If you will not tell yourself today that you are “shit”, you will not be able to win again”. It means, if I have some wishes today, it does not mean they will be important tomorrow. I have just one wish to all of you – penetrate into the idea: “If we do something – we do it perfect”. Of course, it is not easy. It is leader`s challenge. The challenge to ourselves. Why do we have to accept this conception? Because, as I have already said – work does not mean to earn much money and then live somewhere on the island just for pleasure. G.I. During the time of press-conference we managed to discover some plans for the future. Opening of new Toyota Dealership Center in Donetsk, further development of the group of our companies, perseverance to take “Ichiban” for the second time, new projects for the employees who during many years by their own example contributed to the development of our common business. Helpful information:
The word slogan initially means – battle cry – quite direct and imaginary, denotes its meaning: to attract customer and divert him from rivals. Slogan – is a huge idea filled in a small and simple for understanding phrase. But it should be enough emotional to form the impression of brand or product. The main idea of good slogan – more sense – little words. Empty phrase will not reach the customer, long sentence – will not be remembered.
Conditions
• The participants have to send us their variants of advertising slogans for any of the models: Toyota RAV4, Auris, Verso. Or for all of them together, depends on your creativity. • The number of slogans – not limited.
Slogan examples: Ecco shoes – Shoes for life.
• The length of slogan – 5 words maximum. • Language – Russian or Ukrainian, or mixed. • The deadline of sending your slogans – 10th February 2013.

The employees who have no corporate e-mail can use personal ones. • You may also forward your slogans with HR mangers, noting you name, dealership center, department, contact information.
The winners of the competition
The number of winners will depend on the quality of works. The best works will be used in advertising campaigns of our dealership centers, and their authors will be awarded with special prizes.
