Help Gail Borden Library Move into the Future with RFID! It’s fun, easy and smart! The library is converting its collection to radio frequency identification (RFID) by tagging all material. The RFID system will get books, movies and other items back on the shelves more quickly. Dorothy Sherman was a student at Elgin High School in the 1940’s, owned a dry cleaning business on Liberty Street for 25 years, and was a minister at South Elgin Community Methodist Church.
