A Message from the President Team, As January comes to a close, I hope everyone was able to enjoy the holidays with friends and family and has jumped into the exciting opportunities of the new year. As I said in our December issue of G4S News, I would like to once again thank everyone for their efforts throughout 2017, helping us in reaching the successes that we did. New Year’s Resolutions are a staple of the beginning of every year, and this year we encourage everyone to make a few New Year’s Resolutions. And with your resolutions, we want to do what we can to help you reach them. Maybe it’s saving money, self improvement, or even working toward a potential promotion. Whatever it is, we want to give you the tools. We’ve included Employee Discounts (Page 4) in G4S News to make you aware of opportunities for you and your family to save money on everyday items or even vacations. We’ve also incorporated Training and Development (Page 5) to help point you toward various training opportunities through G4Su. And to the right you can learn more about Promote Me!, a program created for G4S Secure Solutions (USA) employees to help you get important information and encourage your professional development. One of our New Year’s Resolution is to provide you with more relevant and important information and supplies, which we kicked off in the December issue of G4S News. We are continuing that into 2018 and encourage you to submit any questions you may have or content suggestions that you would like to be included in G4S News. Submit questions through the form provided in the G4S News email or directly through this link: https://goo.gl/XqCrqq Looking forward to an exciting and successful 2018! Sincerely,

Drew Levine President, Secure Solutions (North America)

G4S Safety

A New Year’s Resolution: Make 2018 a Safe Year Resolution (n) [rez-uh-loo-shuh n]; a firm decision to do or not to do something. For many, the new year brings resolutions. Perhaps a focus on eating healthier, reducing stress, travel, save money or reading books. The idea of a resolution is to improve one’s well-being, and this ties in to our daily life at home and work. By resolving to improve workplace safety, we are ensuring our well-being as well as those around us. In an effort to support those resolutions, here are some suggestions: Participate in Safety and Encourage Others • Make suggestions on how we can improve safety within our organization. • Speak up if you see something that is not safe for you or your co-workers. • Ask questions; if you are unsure about a safety matter, ask. • If there is a safety committee at your location or project, get involved. Educate Yourself • Review safety policies or post orders. • If you have the Safety Handbook, keep it with you as a reference. • Complete any safety training for both G4S and our customer. Safety Equipment • Inspect your personal protective equipment. • Do you need to replace your high visibility vest, safety glasses or other PPE? • Are the boots/shoes you are wearing effective for your environment? Avoid Distractions • Focus on the task at hand. • Do not use a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle, or simply walking down the stairs. • Proper nutrition is essential to cognition; focus on foods that feed your mind and your body. There are many resolutions you can make for 2018, both at home and work, the key is to stay focused and not abandon them. To get equipment, make suggestions, receive a safety handbook or for any additional information, contact your local office or send an email to safety@usa.g4s.com. Feel free to contact the Employee Concerns Hotline (ECH) (800) 307-9005 if you have any concerns about dishonest, unethical or improper conduct. You will not be subject to discipline or retaliation for making a good faith report via the ECH.

Inside G4S

Inside G4S: How to Transfer Between Offices So you’re tired of the cold Northeast winters and have decided to move to sunny southern California. Or maybe your spouse got a job opportunity in another city or state and you’ll be moving. Whatever the reason, sometimes it’s necessary for you to move across county or state lines. If that happens, G4S is here to help you. If you are interested in transferring to another G4S office, check out the questions below to help you in getting the process started, learning what steps you need to take, and gathering any forms or requirements that you may be required to fulfill. There are many factors involved, so not all transfers go through, but we will do everything we can to help you through the process. How do I transfer to another office? If you are thinking about moving or transferring to a new office, notify your home office that you are looking to relocate. Your local office should contact the office you are looking to transfer to notify them that you are looking to transfer. Once you’ve notified your home office, go on the Career Center (www.usajobs.g4s.com) to look for open positions at the new office. Your home office will provide you with contact information for the office you are looking to relocate to. This person will be able to give you an overview of the types of roles available as well as discuss any licensing requirements you will need to meet. What do I need to do to make myself a candidate in the Career Center? To make sure the local office you are interested in transferring to knows you are available, you need to make yourself an internal candidate in the Career Center. To do this, go to www.usajobs.g4s.com/alljobs. Once there, enter the PIN 53168 to see all jobs that are advertised internally. This code is for current G4S employees only. Is there a form I need to fill out to transfer? Yes, you need to fill out the transfer request form (FM-600) and give it to your local office. Your local office HR representative will provide this form to you. How do I find a position on the Career Center? Search for open positions in the office that you are looking to transfer to. If you find an internal position using the PIN above, fill out the ATS. Filling out the application through the ATS will assist the office in ensuring that you meet the requirements for the position and to ensure that any required training might have been done. You may also need to submit to additional screening for certain roles (background check, drug testing, physical, etc.). If you have any further questions, contact your local office or email notify_hr_help@usa.g4s.com for assistance.
