Everyone has heard of HID but there is an awful lot of snakeoil out there that consumers should be aware of. Realise that there are a lot of backyard businesses and some manufacturers who are buying generic 20 dollar Chinese ballasts and bulbs that frankly are just unreliable and a poor investment. Well known brands are charging several hundred dollars for just 2 ballasts and bulbs? If you look for information on forums re Chinese HID's you will soon see a pattern of random quality, mismatched bulb colour rendering etc etc. There is a better way... BUT it took FYRLYT to design and engineer a light tough enough to deliver. A light for life... NOW that is a good investment.
