PREPARING FOR THE ROAD AHEAD

re you planning a road trip this year? Going to Sturgis? Maybe Milwaukee? It doesn’t matter where you’re going, what matters is being ready for the road ahead. The staff here at Doc’s Harley-Davidson are here to make sure you’re prepared and are here to help with whatever you need. If you’re planning a trip you’re going to need space to store your belongings. Have no fear, Harley-Davidson offers a wide variety of luggage options to accommodate your needs. Do you have a Touring model with plenty of space already? How about making packing and unpacking easier than ever? With Harley-Davidson Travel-Paks, unloading and going into the hotel is going to be easier than ever. The bags are manufactured of water resistant ballistic nylon. These bags simply go into your tour-pak and saddlebags. Just place all of your items into the Travel-Paks, zip them up and go! Once you get to the hotel, just lift them out with the carrying handles and check-in. Maybe you need more space than you have at the moment, and we have you covered there, too. With HarleyDavidson’s premium touring luggage collecting, worrying about having enough space is a thing of the past. Do you only need a little bit of extra storage space? The Day Bag or Overnight Bag might be great options for you. If you need a lot of extra space, we also have the Touring Bag. The Touring Bag is ideal for a long weekend trip but expands when you need to pack a little bit more. Like many of the other Harley-Davidson bags, the Touring Bag features an innovative spandex mounting pocket that makes installation and removal a simple process. You just need to slip the smooth, lowprofile band over the passenger backrest for a snug and secure fit. There are also adjustable mounting straps equipped on the bag to help you finish mounting the bag. We know your traveling needs don’t stop at luggage. We know that weather can be unpredictable, especially in St. Louis. You never know what you might run into while on the road. Here at Doc’s we have you covered with our great selection of Harley-Davidson Rain Gear. The High-Vis Rain Suit has quite a bit to offer you. For starters of course, it’s waterproof! It’s Sturgis time again and I guess those of you that are going are getting packed up and are ready to ride. This is the 78th Anniversary of Sturgis and it should be another great year there. We want to express to everyone that is going to have a safe and fun trip. Watch out for the other guy who’s not paying attention. That’s how many accidents happen from a distracted driver. The weather this year is no different than normal. I’ve been watching it for a few weeks and one day its 99 and the next day its 70. I truly love the Black Hills but their weather is even more up and down than ours in Missouri. Again, we all wish everyone a safe and fun trip if you’re heading to Sturgis. If you haven’t made your reservations for Bikefest this year be sure that you get on that right away. We have just over a month now and the 12th annual Lake of the Ozark Bikefest will be in full swing. Dates for the event are Wednesday, September 12th through Sunday September 16th. There are still some rooms available with great rates, so make those reservations now before the rooms are all gone. I wanted to make everyone aware that there is a Give-Away-Package going on through August 15th. Go to the official Bikefest site at http://www.lakebikefest.com and register for the drawing on August 15th. The winner will receive 4 nights of lodging at Camden on the Lake (9/12/18 thru 915/18), 2 Official Passport Books, 2 Official Passport T-shirts and a $100 gift cards to each of the following 4 businesses at the lake. Lake Ozark Harley, Leatherman, Wobbly Boots and Tucker Shuckers. You could be the winner, so go to the official website and enter and watch for the winner posted on August 15th. This year’s Bikefest promises to be the Biggest and Best in the 12 year history of the event. With beautiful rides throughout the Ozarks, over 300 biker friendly bars, hotels, restaurants and campgrounds you’re sure to have a great time. There will be multiple Vendor Villages throughout the Lake Area and lots of great vendors selling their goods. Mark your calendars and don’t miss the 12th Annual Lake of the Ozark Bikefest. We will see you there. As always, ride safe my friends and we will see you on the road with Full Throttle Magazine. Bob

You won’t have to worry about riding in soaking wet clothes while wearing this Rain Suit. You also don’t have to worry about getting too warm while wearing one either because they’re breathable. There are also heat-resistant shields on the lower legs to prevent your legs from getting burned because of your exhaust. The Rain Suit will also help you be seen in the heavy rain as they come equipped with 3M Scotchlite reflective material. You’re also able to get that perfect fit with the adjustable suspenders. We want to make sure you’re going to be comfortable on those long rides, too. Here at Doc’s Harley-Davidson we have a wide variety of product that will help keep you comfortable. Ever been on a long ride and wish you could spread out a bit? We have Highway Peg’s just to help you do that. If you have a Touring Model with fairing lowers we offer the short and long angled adjustable highway peg mounts to suit your needs. For those who have models without fairing lowers we have the 360-degree adjustable highway peg mounts. There mounts will give you 360 degrees of adjustability, really allowing you to dial in your comfort level. Once you pick out which mount you would like to use, just pick out a foot peg from many of the collections Harley-Davidson offers, have us put it on and you’re good to go. Is your current seat comfortable? If not, we have plenty of seat for you to try and choose from. Here at Doc’s Harley-Davidson we offer the demo program. Just stop on by one day if you want to try one of the seats we have to offer. We’ll throw the demo on your bike and let you try it out before you buy it! If you’ve never sat on a hammock seat you truly don’t know what you’re missing. The Hammock seat allows you to stay on the bike all day long. The seats feature a broad seating surface with a shallow bucket shape to distribute the weight and reduce pressure points. Beneath the two inches of traditional dual-density foam, the rider’s weight is supported by a revolutionary fabric suspension system above the seat pan. This internal system prevents bottoming out and provides a 30% improvement in comfort and endurance over the long haul by sheltering the rider from pothole and highway expansion joint impacts. Come on in and see the experts at Doc’s Harley-Davidson to make sure you and your bike are road worthy before you leave. www.FullThrottle-Magazine.com

Are you constantly being told, you got saggy bags, as your riding

around town. Are your friends always telling you, you’ve got to fix your saggy bag’s. This is a real problem, lucky for you Steve, founder and President of Got Saggy Bag’s had this same problem about 15 years ago, when he purchased two Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classics. Steve and his wife Bobbi CEO couldn’t stand looking at their saggy bags, and it seemed like every day they got worse. Steve knew he had to create something to fix this problem. That’s just what he did. After toying around with the concept he had in mind, he really started to think this is going to work. He was cutting plastic sheets and forming them under the lid of the saddlebag. Then using adhesive to stick the plastic sheet he cut under the lid of the bag. Steve had enough material to make about eight of them, and that’s just what he did. He took all of them to a local motorcycle swap meet. He sold every one of them in about 45 minutes. That was amazing. He knew right then that this was his golden ticket. He could just feel it. But when he later told his wife and best friend this, they almost fell out of their chairs laughing. That quickly lit a fire under him. He not only thought he can help every person with this horrific problem he once had, but he can also prove his wife and best friend wrong. Well, they weren’t laughing a year later. Steve had taken his idea and turned it into a full-fledged

Page 20

company called, Got Saggy Bags. They are 100% dedicated to helping every person that has the same problem Steve did 15 years ago, Saggy Bag’s. Steve and his wife Bobbi had to now make a huge decision. Were they going to leave there jobs they had and make this their full-time job? Yes, absolutely! They both quit their jobs at the time and put all their focus on Got Saggy Bag’s. After having a lot more time to concentrate on their business they came up with another brilliant idea. The saddlebag restoration system. They quickly got their system patented and were on the market. So you ask, What exactly is the saddlebag restoration system. It starts with the Perimeter Kit. The entire lower bag system is installed with the bags on the bike. The key to the lower bag system is using the internal seams, pockets, and crevices as pressure points to force the bags into a perfect shape. The Saggy Bags Front and Rear Inserts line the end surfaces, and force the misshapen end surfaces of the bags back into their original shape. Installing the Perimeter Strip over the inserts applies significant outward pressure, locking the front and rear inserts into place, while providing a full floor to the bag. Due to design, the Perimeter Strip applies significant outward pressure to the Front and Rear Inserts keeping the bag in a perfect shape. None of the lower bag components require adhesive, screws or rivets. They all lock into place by design. Next is the Support Rail, Adding the Support Rail to the edge of the bag opening completes the lower bag Installation. You will notice the bag opening is larger than prior to installation and totally reinforced. The side of the bag will no longer sag inward toward the fender. By design, the Support Rail self-locks over the edge. No adhesive is required. Next is the Lid Insert. Installing the Lid Insert to reshape the lid surface is the last step. It requires the use of E-6000 Industrial Strength Adhesive that is supplied with your System. The Lid Insert Installation is the only part of the system that requires the bags to be removed from the bike. Using adhesive for the lid insert insures the surface will remain smooth and flat. In all you will notice about 10% increase storage area in the lower bag due to it being held open to its fullest size. Half helmets’ will still fit through the bag opening. The total system weight for both bags is less than three pounds. There are two main purposes for the saddlebag restoration system. In new bags, the inserts will keep the bags from ever shrinking, sagging, or losing their original shape. In older bags, it will restore their original shape by utilizing the patented inserts as shapers and stiffener supports. The benefit is greater storage capacity, greater weight capacity, and to bring it to, or keep it at that showroom look for the rest of the bags life. Steve and Bobbi stand behind their product 100%. They offer a lifetime warranty on their materials. Yes, you read it right, a lifetime warranty. No one else in the industry offers a warranty like that. So, if you’re finally at your breaking point and sick of everyone telling you, you got saggy bag’s. Or if you want to stay ahead of the problem and never have to hear you got saggy bags, you know who to call. The complete restoration system is only $124.00. You can’t beat that. The installation is fast and easy and will have your saddlebags looking like new again in no time. If you have any questions or want to know a little more about Got Saggy Bags, Check them out on their website at www.gotsaggybags.com and order yours today. www.FullThrottle-Magazine.com

“TRIKES” TH The popularity of trikes now-a-days is growing larger than ever as the motorcycle industry keeps producing new cool styles of three-wheeled motorcycles. It’s not like it was years ago when old men and women couldn’t handle their two-wheeled motorcycle and had to resort to a threewheeled motorcycle or no motorcycle at all. There are all kinds of different people riding trikes from the older men and women to the 16-year-old kid riding the Can-Am Spyder. Many years ago a lot of the veteran motorcycle riders looked down at the trike riders, they did not believe that a trike rider is a real rider. But I believe as more and more of these veteran riders get older they are starting to realize that the trike is going to keep them on the road’s riding longer. Everyone is going to get to the age and point of their life where it is just not safe to ride on two wheels anymore; and realizing they can’t handle a big heavy two-wheeled motorcycle. So, it’s either they ride a trike or they don’t ride at all. If it were my choice I would have to say ride a trike instead of not riding at all. The age of people who ride trikes now-a-days can vary greatly. From the older people who just can’t handle a heavy two-wheeled motorcycle, to the disabled person who can’t ride on two wheels at all, to the younger generations that just like the three-wheeled motorcycles such as the Can-Am Spyder or the Polaris Slingshots. There is also the rider that is new to motorcycles that just feel more comfortable on three wheels. Most of the older people that have trikes say they had no choice, its either ride a trike or not ride at all, most of them end up loving their trike. There is definitely a big difference in how a two-wheeled motorcycle and a three-wheeled motorcycle rides. Of course, there are some disadvantages and advantages to both. A trike is a lot bigger, and people feel they are more visible than a two-wheeled motorcycle. When riding a trike, it is more like a car or ATV. It handles a lot different than a two-wheeled motorcycle. There is no leaning or counter steering with a trike. You just point the front wheel in the direction you want to go and your off. You do not have to put your feet down when you are at a complete stop to hold the weight of the bike up and you do not have the fear of tipping the bike over or your passenger tipping the bike over. A lot of passengers on a motorcycle don’t realize how hard it is on the person handling the motorcycle when they are moving

around a lot, so a trike can be more beneficial to them because they can have a bit more freedom to look and move around, get comfortable and/or take pictures without the fear of them tipping the bike over and falling into the middle of the road. You also can take a trike down dirt or gravel road without having any concern of the rear wheel sliding out from underneath you. A two-wheeled motorcycles can get a little tricky on the dirt or gravel. Also stop and go traffic can be a pain on a two-wheeled motorcycle. But not on a trike, you don’t have to put your feet down when you stop, you can sit back and relax and enjoy the fresh air. Those are just a few of what many people would say are the advantages of a trike. But of course there are also some disadvantages of riding a trike over a two wheeled motorcycle. A trike gets poorer gas mileage than a two-wheeled motorcycle. Trikes also do not maneuver as well on winding back roads, which a lot of two-wheeled motorcycle riders love to take. They love to hit those big corners real fast and tight. Of course, you can still take a trike on the back roads, you just want to be a little more careful on the big twist and turns. A lot of new trike owner’s that just came off a two-wheeled motorcycle have a difficult time remembering the rear end on their new trike is a lot wider than the front. This can be a problem; you don’t want to take out the center island at the gas station, that’s never fun. In the past 5 years’ dealerships on average, have recorded that their sales on trikes have more than doubled. There are many different types of trikes that can be appealing to anyone. I have noticed that the Can-Am Spyders and the Polaris Slingshots are gaining more and more popularity. They are a lot different from the traditional trikes because they have two-wheels in the front instead of the back. But take it from me they are a blast to ride. Unlike a trike with two-wheels in the back, they are great on the back winding roads, they take corners great, and they can be very fast. If you are used to riding a two-wheeled motorcycle, a trike is definitely going to take some getting used to. But I believe once the rider gets use to the trike, they will like it just as much as their twowheeled motorcycle, and have just as much fun taking those long rides around town. www.FullThrottle-Magazine.com

DRAG SPECIALTIES TRUCK BUILD

How’s it going Full Throttle readers, Zach White here to give you the latest

and greatest info from St. Charles Harley-Davidson. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer as it has been in full swing with some great Midwest humidity and heat. This month’s bike night will have a Western Theme with a Mechanical Bull for you and your friends to see who can make the 8 seconds. Also we will be welcoming for the first time Clint Ewing, who has been touring the US for the past 5 years doing stunt shows full time. August 21st - 23rd I will be at the Annual HarleyDavison Dealer Meeting to see first hand what they have in store for us in 2019. To end the last full weekend in August we will have the 2019 Harley-Davidson Demo Truck stopping in the 24th & 25th for you to test ride the new Models just released days before. Lets get started on this months build we did during the Drag Specialties Truck weekend. If you all made it out that weekend you seen our Master Technician Mike Bellamy getting busy on this build full of some of the best aftermarket parts from the top manufactures and available here at St. Charles Harley-Davidson! This build was done on a 2018 Road Glide Special. With this bike being already blacked out from the factory we stuck with that look and gave it a major face lift but still kept it clean and simple. Now for some of the changes from front to back. As you can see we went with a 23” Performance Machine Platinum Contrast Revel Wheel with matching 13” Rotor. The rubber wrapped around the front and rear wheel are Metzler ME888. You don’t want to mix and match the tires and cause a handling problem when you need it most. These tires will give you the grip you need going around the corners and a smooth ride down the highway. Wrapped around the front tire we installed the Paul Yaffe’s Bagger Nation Talon Fender. This is still one of my favorite fenders and it really shows off the front wheel with the radical swooping claw-like shape at the bottom. The front end had to be changed to accept the single sided rotor so we went with the smooth black Arlen Ness Hot Legs. Inside we had to install the Progressive Suspension lowered front springs to make the bike level and get it back close to factory height. When we went with the single sided rotor to open up the right side of the bike while rolling down the rode and also parked and at its natural lean it required the change of calipers. We went with the HHI 6 piston caliper for 13” rotors. This gives you all the stopping power needed and has a clean look. Moving on up the front of the bike you will see a different set of handlebars then factory. We went with the LA Chopper 13” black Twin Peaks. These bars in my opinion are some of the most comfortable bars on the market. They give you that natural feel for shoulder and wrist comfort both. Moving on to what makes a Harley stand out the sound. To get some rumble out of this Milwaukee 8 engine we installed some Cobra Neighbor Haters. These slip-ons will give you the best sound without changing the header system and also at a great price. Now that you will be heard when you are rolling up on someone its time to talk about what it takes to

see and be seen. With that in mind we went with some of the all New Custom Dynamics LED’s. Not only are these lights bright they come with a Lifetime Warranty. The headlight is the TruBEAM with halo rings that really catch the attention of on coming cars and at night make the roads look like daylight. The front turn signals are the all new ProBEAM set up. This gives you a white running light that will make you be seen and then turns amber when you hit the turn signal buttons. For the rear turn signals we also used the ProBeam that is a red run/ turn/brake. To finish off the rear of the bike we installed the Tri-Bar dual Intensity LED fender tip light. This also gives you the feature of a run/brake instead of just run from the factory. This month is always a fun one to see the end of one model year and the beginning of another. With only three bike nights left I hope to see you at one. Just a reminder if you are able to make it to one of our bike nights and driving a vehicle, we will have free shuttles from the EPC parking lot and also from Shamrock’s where the after party is hosted. Thanks again for taking the time to read this and please come into St. Charles Harley-Davidson and ask for me, Zach White or give me a call @ 636-946-6487 and also by email, zach@ stcharlesharleydavidson.com to set up a consultation! I’m here to make all your Harley-Davidson dreams come true!

Bikers Helping Bikers

It’s all in the name! Our organization has been around for 30 years since Tom Hartbauer thought that the time was right for someone to “Help Our Own”. Through the years we have grown from H.O.G. Chapters supporting and helping fund us, to our Incorporation in 1997 and becoming a 501 (C) (3) Not-For-Profit recognized by the Federal Gov’t. in 2003. We are proud that our Officers, Board and all our Representatives are bikers and UNPAID VOLUNTEERS who do this out of the love of motorcycles, those who ride and the lifestyle, no matter what you ride, what you wear or who you are. If you encounter a True Hardship and are a Biker living within 100 miles of the Gateway Arch, we want to assist you financially with a “Hand Up…Not a Hand Out” when you need it most. Our application process is pretty straightforward, but some requirements are in place. We offer only financial assistance. To date we have disbursed over $300,000.00 to more than 600 bikers, and is some instances their family members. Hardships are not only due to motorcycle related injuries, but illnesses and loss due to floods, fires and other accidents. Our organization is officially named “The Hartbauer/ McBride Memorial Foundation, Incorporated”. But through our “Biker Fund” we are: Bikers Helping Bikers You can view our history and almost anything you want to know about us on our Website shown below as well as our Facebook page.

Ride Safe and Thumbs Up.

CORVETTE, The American Sports Car. Everyone knows them and many FEAR them. The very first Corvette was built as a Show Car for the “Motorama” at the New York Auto Showin 1953 and it was such a big hit GM decided to put it into a production version to sell to the public and the rest of the story, as they say, is History. Many are confused as to what year the first Corvette was really built; it was 1953. There were only three-hundred hand built cars made and all were Polo White. More colors were offered in 1954 and 3,640 Vette’s were born. They sold slowly, but if you fast forward to today and see the value of these icons, I’m sure they would have all been sold in one day back then. For many, the Corvette has only been a Dream car because of the cost, but for those people who could afford one, it is truly a great value when you compare it to the other sports cars from around the world. Even today, compared to everything you get for around $107,000 to the cost of a Lamborghini at $460,000. Sure, it’s not an apples to apples comparison, but when you are behind the wheel of a Vette you are feeling the same thrills again and again a very fair and reachable price. Over the years I have noticed the type of people who own Corvettes and it’s not a bad thing to be in any of my groups that I have created in my own mind. The first group are the Purist. This group truly loves their car and keep it perfect and away from all of the elements that could cause any harm to their baby, even dust in some cases. They hardly drive them so the Tach never sees any real action at all. Then you have the owners who think of them as a Status Symbol, they will drive them all the time in any kind of weather and not really take care of them. But yet their noses are in the air, all proud. Sure they are getting to enjoy them but there should be a happy medium. AND then you have the group I am proud to be a part of, yes it is a Corvette but it is JUST a car. It is a car I can make anyway I want it to be, and thankfully I am finding more people who fit in this group, the “Best” group, as far as I am concerned.

Recently I met Zach Schmitz the owner of this 2007 Z06 at a local Chevy dealership when we started talking, he said he had Chris Cline at Hughes Auto body cut a hole in his hood to clear the Holley High Ram intake manifold, I knew I had to see his Corvette. I had to wait a long time to meet with Zach to see his car because he was constantly making improvements. But, he was doing it the right way, so it was worth the wait to hear his F1A-94 Procharger 441 cubic inch LS based engine with 1112 horse power at the rear wheels fire up. It sounds like a Jet and with 12.6 to 1 compression, you can also feel it in your chest and the best thing about Zach’s Vette is the fact that after all the modifications and upgrades to race the car, it still drives like stock and has all of its factory creatures comfort, and the attention it gets for the intake sticking out of the hood. Besides hearing the whine of the Procharger, you get to hear the sounds created by 2in primary Kooks headers, Kooks 3in offroad X-pipe, custom factory mufflers done by MTL Fab. He took the factory mufflers and cut them open and modified them. The car uses two of the four tips and goes threw the muffler then, he has a switch in the car to open internal cutouts in the mufflers and use the other two tips to bypass the muffler and make the car straight piped.

OEM look.

The fuel and nitrous system for a monster like this is not a simple Plug ’n Play unit, it is a 102mm Nitrous express plate kit, carbon fiber Nitrous express solenoids, duel billet bottle bracket, Nitrous Express Maximizer 4 progressive nitrous controller, MTL custom fabbed a stand alone fuel system for nitrous. This allows him to separate nitrous and engine fuel systems and run c16 race gas when spraying nitrous. The stand alone has its own fuel tank pump, regulator and custom 3D printed nitrous switch panel to replace ash tray in center console. A cool subtle addition for the

For body modification, Zach went with black replica badges, tinted all of the lights black, added Eagle Eye LED taillights, and the side skirts, extended front splitter, and a extended carbon fiber rear spoiler are all from a C6 ZR1. For a safety he also added a 5 point roll cage. Zach told me everything has been assembled in his 2 car garage and had a lot of help from his friends along the way, especially Mike Oleary, Corey Spruill and Matthew LeFaivre. Reid Sanders and Jim Gray at Venom Racing Engines built the motor and spec the cam. Justin Kalwei at Just Tune got the tune dialed in. As the upgrades keep happening, one of them being a Custom intercooler and charge piping made by Ryan Gibbs Fabrication. And for fuel improvements the Fore Innovations triple pump fuel system GM flex fuel sensor working with factory pcm. The car now runs on e85 and can also accept pump gas. Bosch 210 injectors Alky control methanol injection kit Tuning by Shane Hinds used Hp tuners to calibrate the pcm to work with the new setup. So if you are just cruising around town looking for a little Full Throttle Fun and you run up on a black Z06 with a parachute on the back you may want to think twice. www.FullThrottle-Magazine.com

Kickstands Up!

By Jennifer Cotner-Jones

Celebrate a National Icon at the 8th Annual Birthplace of Route 66 Festival Rising from western expansion, Route 66 was one of America’s first highways, linking Midwest metropolitan Chicago to sunny Santa Monica in one winding road. Across eight states, farmers shipped grain from country fields to urban cities while small-time entrepreneurs paved America’s Main Street with BBQ pits, quirky side-show rest stops, and tourist traps hawking trinkets and curios. From the plains to the desert, America started driving, making Route 66 a national icon. The 8th Annual Birthplace of Route 66 Festival, held in Springfield, MO on August 10-11, celebrates the storied thoroughfare with two days of live music, entertainment, car parade and show along with the largest Motorcycle Village hosting demos and vendors. Aaron Sachs & Associates and Ozarks On Two Wheels is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Ozarks on Two Wheels Motorcycle Village, the festival’s hub for free music, attractions, gear, shopping, food, and more. There will be something for everyone at Motorcycle Village during The Birthplace of Route 66 Festival 2018. New this year is the Kansas City sanctioned BBQ Throwdown. Sample some of the finest BBQ from over 20 competitors on Saturday. For two full days Motorcycle Village will host a variety of two-wheeled thrills and attractions. The AMA-sanctioned Gypsy Tour Poker Run kicks off Saturday morning August 11, benefiting the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, with stops and photo ops along original Route 66. Stroll through the Charity Bike Show representing all varieties of bikes. Add to that, stunt shows, Globe of Steel, Axe Throwing and the biggest demo event in the region. Test ride the latest from Harley Davidson, Yamaha, Indian, Victory, Honda, and more. The demo trucks will come with the latest in gear, leather, and accessories too. And if you don’t find it there, you will in vendor village. Celebrating over 25 years in the Ozarks, Aaron Sachs & Associates will bring Motorcycle Village to life with a stage filled with FREE concerts all weekend. Kick up your boots with a country Friday night featuring Lyal Strickland, Laura Ashley, and Mark Chapman. On Saturday, it is time to rock with Springfield’s top bands such as The Dirty Saints, The Mixtapes, and Machine Gun Symphony; who keeps the hair, the fashion and the sound of 80s alive. End your Route 66 Festival weekend with the infamous Dr. Zhivegas from St. Louis. Whether a symbol of economic promise, a side-winding artery connecting rural goods with urban sensibilities, or a fractured piece of nostalgia, Route 66 still holds local and international interest despite its missing pieces. Join Ozarks On Two Wheels in honoring Springfield’s contribution to The Mother Road by doing what we do best: celebrating the adventure and freedom of the open road.
