Gianmarco “Bisturi” Sieniwas born in Florence Italy. He obtained training in both traditional artistry as well as graphic design at Liceo Artistico Di Firenze in Porta Romana. Initially, his artistic creationswere characterized byextreme complexityandwere quite “trippy” in nature.However,thismethodologywouldchangesubstantially.Forinresponsetoassertions made by one of his instructors, Bisturi began to simplify his works in order to both adhere to the culture of his career in graphic design as well as continue expressing himself as an independent artist. His newly developed and current approach is characterized by monlinear, metaphoric, stronglycolored representationswhich depict his unique human experience and perspective. More specifically the dark particularities of his past and the negative aspects of contemporary Italy and the modern world generally.
