A macro photographic study of a fresnel type prismatic light refractor. By focusing in on the textures of the prismatic light refractor, we are able to observe the world in a way that recalls the moments of Donald Blair’s life since childhood when he would get lost in wonder and gaze through objects that would bend and manipulate light. Things such as looking through the side of a glass top table would present a new universe to him. Donald was able to see beyond his present reality as the glass would warp and bend the light as it passed through. It is also symbolic of the way sci-fi movies and television represent cosmic travel by the warping and bending of light. For instance, Star Trek would engage warp speed or teleportation and Dr. Who would travel in his Tardis. This also alludes to Donald’s own experiences that lifted the veil of reality by presenting a new way of looking at the world in which he exists.

Marco Gu a ltier i Marco Gualtieri is a landscape photographer based in Florence, Italy. He was born in Rome in 1978. He has a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from DAMS (Drama, Art, and Music Studies) University of Bologna, Italy; a Bachelor’s degree in Cinematography from the National Film School of Rome; a certificate in Documentary and Photojournalism from the International Center of Photography of New York. His work has been exhibited in the United States, where he has lived and worked for the past decade. Marco is currently based in Florence and works as a photography instructor at Florence University of the Arts.

Don al d Blair Was born in 1978, and has been traveling the planet since early childhood. For the past three years, he has traveled while studying art in prominent universities around the world including Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. His artistic style has been heavily influenced by traveling the world, and also by his abundant experiences that opened the vale of this reality into a spiritual cosmos of undefined wonders. He was raised by his mother who is also an artist, graphic designer, photographer and more. Mr. Blair has lived in a world immersed in the arts and a life of creative experiences since his birth.
