Mark your calendar for stunning performances by
Florida Southern provides the venue for exciting performances and exhibits featuring a variety of worldrenowned guest artists as well as our gifted students and faculty. The Festival of Fine Arts, a unique arts series, provides students with invaluable opportunities to attend outstanding performances, interact with important guest artists, and perform with faculty and peers. Most performances are free to students.

Music Performances Each year the Music Department presents a number of performances. These include: • The Faculty Showcase featuring faculty in solo and collaborative roles • Music Under the Stars featuring the FSC Bands in the beautiful Pipkin Bandshell • The Christmas Gala featuring student ensembles and soloists presenting traditional holiday music The collaboration between the FSC Opera Theatre and FSC Symphony Orchestra is an annual highlight. This year, they will perform La Traviata, by Romantic Italian composer, Giuseppe Verdi.

Melvin Art Gallery The Melvin Art Gallery displays the work of Florida Southern students as well as other professional artists. The gallery exhibits both historical and contemporary art that is stimulating to students and inspire them in their own work. The Gallery is open to the entire college community and the public. Theatre Performances The Theatre Arts Department will also present their usual outstanding productions in Buckner Theatre, including two musicals, to celebrate the launch of FSC’s new dance program. Auditions for theatre performances are open to all students. You do not need to be a theatre major. So, plan to audition and join the production!
