Hanna Komorowska (M.A., Ph.D., Dr hab.) is professor of applied linguistics and language teaching at Warsaw School of Sciences and Humanities (SWPS) and at Warsaw University (UW). After the fall of Communism she was head of the Expert Committee for the foreign language teaching and teacher education reform in Poland. Former vice-President of Warsaw University, the Polish delegate for the Modern Languages Project Group of the Council of Europe, and member of the EU High Level Group on Multilingualism in Brussels, she is now a consultant to the European Centre of Modern Languages in Graz and co-author of the European Portfolio for Student Teachers of Languages. She publishes widely in the field of FLT methodology and teacher education. e-mail: hannakomo@data.pl Aleksandra Łuczak (M.A., Ph.D.) graduated from the Institute of English Studies at Warsaw University where in 2006 she also defended her doctoral thesis. Since 1997 she has been working as an ESP teacher at Koźmiński University in Warsaw where she runs Business English and Legal English courses preparing students for LCCI and TOLES examinations, lectures on Academic Skills and Business Culture, as well as supervises the English Language Special Interest Group for students. She is a teacher trainer, ELT consultant and author of articles on teaching ESP and ELP, book reviews and Legal English lesson scenarios. Her interests also include the use of the latest technologies in FLT. e-mail: luczak@luczak.edu.pl Sylvia Maciaszczyk (M.A.) is a teacher in the Institute of English Studies, Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS), a Ph.D. student at Warsaw University and a graduate of the post-diploma Programme in Management at Warsaw School of Economics. Between 2005 and 2007 she headed the Centre for Foreign Languages in SWPS, where she co-authored and coordinated EFL blended courses at all proficiency levels. Her ‘Students2Students’ project for student-teachers of English was awarded the European Language Label 2006.
