Take Your Travel Experience Further: The Hosted Trip Difference Unparalleled Service and Knowledge Every Step of the Way Dear Traveler, Golden Dorado are fast becoming one of the most coveted species in South America. Anglers find them in tropical and subtropical regions in Argentina, Bolivia and Uruguay the quest for this hard-hitting, ravenous and acrobatic fish it addicting. Two of the top Dorado destinations are Suinda Lodge on the Upper Parana River and Pira Lodge in the 3 million acre Ibera Marsh in northeastern Argentina. Cathy and Barry Beck will be hosting just six angler total on their first “all dorado” excursion to Argentina. This departure will include both Suinda and Pira lodges with a moderate transfer between the two; however, the fisheries could not be more different. The Parana River - in front of Suinda where it borders Paraguay upstream of Corrientes - is large water broken up by many islands with white sand flats surrounding them and hundreds of miles of shoreline to cast to for large Dorado. Across the river on the Paraguay side the river braids into smaller channels and rivers with beautiful jungle verenza hanging down to the water hiding Pacu, Pira Pita and yes, the golden dorado. Suinda Lodge is above the ground with hanging walkways connecting the elegant air-conditioned rooms to the main lodge where all the action happens. The lodge features a plunge pool to cool off and regional cuisine by noted Argentine chefs. Pira Lodge is often marveled upon by returning guests as one of the nicest lodges in Argentina. Nestled in the heart of the Ibera Marsh the lodge has a wonderful swimming pool in front of the main house which features Spanish style tile and terraces, indoor and outdoor dining and an ample bar to share fish stories. Wellappointed air-conditioned rooms are shady, and cool offering welcomed sanctuary from the mid-day warmth. The Iberia Marsh is a natural marvel and birder clients of Frontiers have boasted that they consistently have their best days on the marsh. Here we fish from Hells Bay skiffs in an Everglades fashion moving from marsh “lakes” to canals and down to the Corrientes River. Pira is the hallmark of pristine beauty and skiff fishing for Golden Dorado, nothing comparable exists. Sincerely,

Hank Ingram
