Application fee ($35, $50 international) – Friends University waives the application fee for all active duty and retired military personnel.

Where is the Computer Information Systems degree offered? We offer adult-focused bachelor’s degrees in Wichita, Topeka, greater Kansas City area and online. Not all courses and programs are available in all locations or in both online and on-campus formats. Please check with your Admissions Counselor for more details.

How long will it take to complete my degree? This varies depending upon several factors, including how much previous college credit you have. However, you can start as soon as you want and finish as soon as you like. You determine your own pace – whether you want to take one evening course per week or more than one per week. Your admissions counselor can give you a better idea of timeframe.

Is the degree accredited? Yes. All Friends University undergraduate and graduate degrees are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

Computer Information Systems Concentrations Data Systems Integration You will learn… This concentration develops knowledge in combining technical infrastructure and business processes into a system for collecting data from different sources and transforming it into meaningful information. Organizations of all sizes are in need of people who can integrate data to support their business operations and decision making.

Developer You will learn… The focus is on learning three languages: C#, HTML5 and PowerShell. These applications are both visual and non-visual in both web-based and client/server platforms. The skills will provide career opportunities in software development.

Information Systems Architecture You will learn… Developing foundational technical knowledge in database management, systems analysis and architecture is emphasized in this concentration. Career opportunities include information architecture, design, analysis, database development and other informationrelated fields.

Web and Server Administration You will learn… Students build a foundation in web theories and hosting, operating systems in Windows and Linux families, and information storage systems. Career opportunities include network administration, web server and storage systems management.
